dMw hosting a WC3 server?

Can black-adder host another cs server and do we have the bandwidth? If it can I think that a CS-WC3 (Warcraft 3) server could be an interesting addition.
We could use it to get ppl interested to converting to PCS and it would pimp dMw in general. Both causes that are good.

-de maps mostly
-16 players max (maybe 17 and 1 reserved for admins).
-public

I have played this mod all day with Sadako, it is very addictive all these strange power ups and legal hax0rs   . It is certainly a popular mod and I would expect a server to be full nearly all the time. It just depends what you want to do. Opening a public server may be a little crazy, admin wise and the fact we will get a lot of unwanted interest from lamers.

If this is to be considered, a passworded server would be my choice to start with.

In terms of playability, it was a nice change from normal CS, but not too nice to want to stop playing PCS IMHO.

Yes now that you put it this way I agree. It should be passworded. I think that it would attract attention anyway. It is loads of fun, but as albert said not more fun than PCS.

A warning should be issued before joining here. There are LOTS of cheats on this server. Aimbots, wallhacks etc interesting to watch in first person. Ppl have various skills in hiding their cheats which is also useful to learn for us as admins.

Still it is worth checking the modification out.

In say type:

skillsinfo = displays the skills and what they do for your race
level = displays your level (level 10 is the highest)
changerace = allows you to change race
playerskills = displays all players level, race and skills

To use the "ultimate" skill you need to bind it to a key e.g. 'bind "v" ultimate' in console.

Not sure on the merits of hosting another server. I'd like to see both existing servers full before taking players away from PCS to play WC3.

However, a WC3 night sounds fun.

Yeah that was my only concern, losing PCS players. On the other hand, if we asked BB nicely, he may be up for a trial on his server. He did mention that he enjoye playing WC3 yesterday afternoon. :?:
