Pah.  After sales is absolute shite.

I bought from them the following:

Dual core processor
EVGA mainboard
2GB Kingston RAM
2 hard disks
Case
PSU

Assembled system with an EVGA 8800GTS (bought from a mate).

Ram errors showing immediately with the RAM tester they recommend.

Took it all back.

They wanted £25+VAT to test the system as was (which I believe is actually illegal).  Took the RAM away, tested it out of my sight, claimed after 2 hours "there is nothing wrong with your memory", which is an OUTRIGHT LIE.

So I went to Scan, spent £25+VAT on new RAM, and never darkened their doors again.  Bunch of cretins.

If you bought it with a credit card over the phone or online can't he invoke the distance selling regulations and file for the money through his credit company?

Surely if the parts are faulty they should refund back the charge.

Did you write down the day time who you spoke to etc?

Also make a full written statement now as this could strengthen your case as it was written within a few days/ hours of the event occuring.

how long have you had the goods? If you have just sent the ram back becuase you think it is faulty, they can not charge you any type of fee, they can only replace, or say it is No fault found (where you may have to pay for the shipping to get it back) or give you a refund, if this was done within 7 working days, you can demand a refund and they have to oblige.

can you send them a print out of the results of the ram test?
 Bring on the randomness!
Apparently I actually exist! Or maybe it was the drink?

It was a year ago, and I reckon it's worth £25 to find out how bad someone's aftersales is.  Never been back, had been a good customer for years; and aftersales USED to be good - I remember them when they just started out and they were willing to test ram in a board they hadn't sold me just to get me some ram that worked; how things change, eh? :)
