CoD4 - important reminder

We will have a CoD4 server running a large custom map at the LAN to accommodate larger numbers of players.

However, when you join a server running a custom map your CoD4 profile is reset i.e. you lose all your custom classes and points.

So please make sure you know how to make a backup of your profile and do it before attending the LAN.

The custom map we will be running is mp_village. You can get it from here. Be aware that there are multiple versions of this map in circulation so please get it from this source or wait to get it at the LAN. The file size is approx 42MB.

To install this map create a new folder in your CoD4 folder called usermaps and then create a folder below that called mp_village ...

Extract the three files from the download and place them all in the mp_village folder.
