Congrats Azaazaa :yahoo:

The XFG always makes a good combo on any track so was looking forward to this race.

Qualified near the back of the grid on an old setup, Bob chucked me over a cracking setup before the start, I filled up using Oldies fuel calculations and started. I picked my way through up to 10th and raced with Oldie for a bit before he disco'd (bad luck :( ) I hastled Obsolum for a while then pitted 10 mins before the end, I came out of the pits about 5 secs behind Obsolum and set off to catch him which I did a few laps later and took him, he came back at me and nudged me wide and took the place back, I knew I was faster in the second part of the curcuit so waited for him to make a mistake which he did on the last corner, I nipped under and drag raced to the finish line 1/100th of a second quicker :yahoo: with just 0.9% fuel left.

Yes, it really seems that way. Some cars make horrible combos with some tracks, but these relatively slow cars are nice with most tracks. FXO has never been my favourite, let's see if I can learn to like it this week. The track is good at least.

Doorman

Hey! Listen up. I didn't get lapped! How good is that?! :yahoo: Close run thing though with Aazaazazazaazzaa breathing all over me. I blocked him unmercifully and just made it over the line. OK so I had to do another lap but it was worth it. :D

I don't think I've ever been so gutted to suffer a disco.

Excellent combo with some very good, close racing. Gratz to the finishers.

Yeah, I enjoyed this one very much as well. I qualified 14th, but was up in 12th in the first lap, and moved further up to 10th in the following laps. I had some nice fights with Oldie right up until he disco'd (). Ben then caught up with me and was breathing down my neck for pretty much the rest of the race (40 minutes or so?). Sometimes he fell back a little and I thought I was rid of him but no no, the little booger just kept coming back. We had some nice fights, switched positions a couple of times.

I was relieved when I saw him enter the pitlane. I decided to keep pushing for a few more laps before making my pitstop. I came back on track just a few seconds ahead of Ben, and I immediately saw that he had started a final attack; he was visibly gaining, stressing me out.

We had a bit of contact in the second corner of the last lap, causing him to go wide and into the gravel. I'm not sure if it was really all my fault but I felt bad nonetheless. Anyway, Ben said "don't you worry about it" - in a tone suggesting that he was sure he'd get me before the lap was done - so I kept pushing on. He caught me in the last corner before the finish straight; I went a little too wide, he dove right in the inside gap and we both just floored it to the finish, where he crossed with less than a car's length before me.

I'd like to thank Ben and Oldie for the nice battles, and congratulate Doorz on his first race without being lapped. Well done!

A great combo, a great race, and my first hour race with the dMr tag! I was very relieved to get thru the first corner without making a fool of myself, and made up a handful of places. Normality soon restored itself as the fast boys whipped past me, and I was left chasing dwindling specks in the distance, and trying to keep ahead of Doorz and Spikey who were chasing me. About half distance Spikey caught me and started to give me a hard time, sometimes gaining, sometimes falling back. Every time I thought I'd lost him, up he would pop in my mirrors again. Eventually he pressured me into putting it onto the grass and passed me, but I caught him on the fast part of the track and got a beautiful slip-stream and passed him at the end of the straight. Yay, me! :yahoo: This wasn't the end of it, as this set the tone for the next few laps, him passing me, me passing him back, a hard fair and clean battle. This was exactly the kind of racing I joined dMr for, and it was tremendous fun! I led him into the pits, but my over zealous pit crew decided my fronts needed changing, so he was out slightly ahead of me. Chasing him on cold tyres was fun, and I eventually caught him on the final lap, but couldn't find a way past him and had to settle for 12th. Like Doorz I wasn't lapped, but had counted on being lapped so had only 44% fuel at the start. I crossed the line with an empty tank. Talk about cutting it fine....
Thanks to all for the great racing, esp Spikey. Looking forward to the next one, even though I loathe and detest Blackwood reversed (can't get to grips with the downhill turns after the line...)

Aquilifer

Had a good race based on the result.

I was especially pleased for the qualifying where I managed to make my PB in my last lap and even running out of fuel 10-20m before the finish. I knew the fuel would be very close when started the last lap. I prayed all the lap please please don't run out of fuel. I also lifted the throttle bit in some places where I normally kept it down.

The race wasn't so exciting. In the begining I tryed to follow Venca and Azaazaaazzzzzzzzzzzz -_- but they were too fast. Soon Sean came close to my rear bumper. We had some good racing. I kept doing some small mistakes in few corners and Sean was driving without mistakes. So soon he managed to overtake me in some corner.

After Sean pitted I was driving mostly alone. After my pitstop I returned in front of Dee, Sean and Romus. This time I didn't make so many mistakes and kept my place to the finish.

Congrats to all the finishers. :)

We had again many finishers. If you still keep the point tables, maybe
we should give points to more than 10 people. After all it is much better to finish e.g 15th than DNF.

Damn, I like that car too.:crying:

Was good race Pavo, really enjoyed that battle we had.  After I made my pitstop I took some engine damage and couldn't seem to do .34's any more, I let that get to me and made a few other mistakes too.  Then on the final corner I made a balls of it and gave a free spot to Deetz  :D .  good race though, well done all and thanks to Gnomie for the track suggestion, most enjoyable.  Shame you couldn't be there mate.

Gnomie

Yeah, sounds like you guys had a good race. :) This week was very hectic for me (finals week), and I just couldn't find any time for racing.

Yesterday my brother and I drove all the way home. The 450 mile journey included three mountain passes with icy roads and poor weather conditions, so I got my weekly fill of "exciting driving" anyway. ;) It took us 14 hours, but now I'm finally home, where I'll spend Christmas with my family. Three weeks without racing is going to be tough, but then it will be even more fun when the next season starts!

Excellent race - the XFG was a nice choice for a pair of rookies like myself and wildmanwild - although we didn't see many other people all race (until you started lapping us near the end, which made our battle for 14th really interesting :) we really enjoyed battling one another.

Again, we're glad to race with you guys and hope one day to not be lapped - we've seen it's possible! :)  Thanks for tolerating rookies. :)))
