Private cod4 server

If i wanna play on the Private server COD4 and i use Fav server in options COD4,is it then normale that i have to fill in the PW each time i join the server?

Cos i cant see any option to save it.

And some more to ask..

I cant see how many bullets ore health i have left in the screen,do i have to add this in options.?

The server is set to Hardcore so you don't see how many bullets you have.

Use a shortcut on the desktop to the Private server so you don't have to enter password. There is no way to save it in server browser.

And believe me, Hardcore is much better.

Well create shortcut on the desktop seems not to be working here.
I know when i dl COD4 it was placed in my steam folder,but i cant realy find it any more where it is.:eyebrow:

Right click on game CoD4 in steam. Copy it to your desktop

That i did,but still not working..

This is my shortcut on desktop "I:\Steam\steam.exe -applaunch 7940"
When im gonna search for this in my steam folder i cant find it..
It's not that i have a dir for COD4 , like i have for CS:S ect ect...

Sorry, didnt realise you had CoD4 from steam.

Make the shortcut read:

"I:\Steam\steam.exe -applaunch 7940" +password putpasswordhere +connect 77.108.129.47:28970

and rename the shortcut to "dMw Private Server"

You will need to create another shortcut for starting CoD4 without joining a server.

Since doorman's recommendation i have been using hlsw as my server browser. You can save passwords and choose in game names before joining the game.
