If you have won the helping hand award at a dmw lan please post when and the date you received it.

This would therefore allow me to compile a list for a new forum section in due course to recognise those members who have contributed to the community in a positive and most gratefully received.

Sheepy appears and begins to stroke my head. According to his slurred drunken speech I am "lovely and like a fuzzy felt". Thankfully he soon leaves and passes out somewhere. [/quote]

LAN VII - Norm

LAN VIII - Doorman

LAN IX was shared http://www.deadmen.co.uk/forum/showpost.php?p=123738&postcount=1  between Whitey, Me & NF

LAN X - Bob

LAN XI - Sheepy

LAN XII  - Whitey -  I remember as he was so impressed he didn't take it home with him.

LAN XIII - BigFatCat

LAN XIV- didn't have it to award (BFC refused to give it up as he was so chuffed with it)

LAN XV - Ninja_Freak

As a general rule - Recipients are only allowed to win it once. Looks like we've dropped the ball on that one occasionally but hey ho.

That's all I can fill in.

Good work!

Great just a couple more to fill in.

Was the award bought for Lan V or was it about before then?

Ghosty, sure you didn't get LAN VI?

VII was Norm according to you:

http://www.deadmen.co.uk/forum/showpost.php?p=82726&postcount=9

Our forum doesn't show any winners before LAN VI AFIAA.

GhostMjr

I remember being awarded it at one point and took it home due to my pc going up the spout. TL and Gandy had to reinstall my pc as for some reason the network card was showing a wrong mac address.

Imho it should have been Gandy's that lan as he helped me out instead i was award it i was sure i was awarded it lan VI as i have a couple of photos of be holding it in my photo albums.

I have amended the list now i think thats the final list although i will have to clarify with TL or OB whether the award was around before Lan V as i did not attend earlier lan's.

Gandy could win the award every time he turns up TBH - as could TL and OB. :worship:

It tends to to go non-admins (who do it for the love ). That is is why he, and they, have never won it although being very suitable candidates.

That's what I believe anyway.

Doorman

I remember winning it but I tried to not let it change me... It did though, I became a miserable old git! :norty:

That must have been before I met you then?

BigFatCat

I never received the winner's cheque or the lunch vouchers:ranting2:

TeaLeaf

I believe Benny was the first winner in April 2004, the award did not exist prior to that.
