I think appointing only one person to talk re: tactics is a bad idea. That one person does not have eyes in the back of his head and cannot see everything. If some proverbial poop hits the fan and that person doesn't notice it, then of course by all means shout out.

There are however some other things you can do to keep TS reasonably clear:

- Don't announce that you are dead. Really, *everyone* can see that on their Raid UI. There's no need. Besides it is generally annoying (to me at least).
- If you need an innervate or something similar, make appointments beforehand with someone to supply you that, and make a whisper macro.
- If you need a heal, pray for one. Not out loud. The healers do see your health dropping, don't worry, it's their job to notice it. But you have to be aware that certain fights have certain healing priorities, and almost always that means dps comes last. Remember your bandages/pots/healthstones ;-)
- Percentages, if not relevant to the fight mechanics, are not exactly interesting either, not until he's dead or it's a wipe, really xD
- Regular banter is of course logical to avoid.

Of course once a fight is on farm it becomes a lot more liberal, but new(er) fights require concentration, especially if (like last night it looks from the logs) your setup is tight (5 healers for most of the night if I count correctly?).
or Garrit, or Torgen. Also, Livestream.

Lets hope that all DMR have read these comments and we can move onwards and upwards.

This is a nice point. It's happened sometimes that a member low on hp asked for an heal on ts. 2 possible situations came from that: all the healers switch on that person, often causing another couple of people to die for lack of healings (if not wipe completely), or the healers will ignore that person and trust the one who have to do the job to do it, leaving it as noone said anything at all. Now feel free to pick up the one you like. :narnar:

Apologies if this is off topic:
I rarely listen to any calls for healing, other than if it's one of my assignments I've slipped off. I get focussed on the fight and can just about spare enough attention to catch most timer calls and watch the timers myself.
Maybe we should have a forum post for each boss? To discuss tactics and maybe put up some 'birds eye view' pictures to show movement, paths, areas of danger and phase change(maybe a DMR of Bosskillers) ? Might help if we can skip a couple more wipes by people understanding the underlying mechanics of an encounter beforehand.  Rather than needing a few attempts to get an idea of how the encounter works and how it affects their class/role, there are very few fights that can be changed on the fly, it's mostly execution of a preplanned set of actions based on known possibilities. Obviously Ulduar isn't the 25 people in a 5 man dungeon(Naxx) , so many fights are not too simple. Clearly this requires people to actually read the threads, and I'm assuming anybody reading this likely would :)
Well to refrain from repetition I say bye for now :)
