It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion. It is by the beans of Java that thoughts acquire speed, the hands acquire shakes, the shakes become a warning. It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion

17 deaths, no wounder I thought my repair bill was high today
Maybe there\'s something to be said for being different. We are who we are. What more could we ask for?

Seemed a bit heavy tonight at times, but think we need to clarify who to listen to, as at times I was getting TS overload.
I consider myself fairly patient and with new members in, I felt even more inclined to let things go fairly lightly.
Blue gear in Ulduar. would make it tough

I got a bit rattled when some of the voice comms got confused, when people were being criticised, and named, not by officers.
While making critical remarks it is better to do them in private so that it is constructive and is then received as it is intended, rather than shouting numerous names pointing out what people are doing wrong (in their opinion)

The effect these "guilty" people were having rarely related to the raid directly and mainly related to the impact on the individual making the remark (i agree they are intrinsically linked)
I respect all my guildies even those shouting crap on TS.
I respect the Tactical officers, and appreciate its a tough job at times.

Surely we dont need a facilitator.?

You lot can't behave without good ol' Garrit's soothing voice *cough* guiding you through can you? :narnar:

But good to see that we're 2 bosses down on a thursday already :) Be back sunday :)
or Garrit, or Torgen. Also, Livestream.

I have to agree with Sithy & not just tonights raid but increasingly we seem to have way too many voices telling us what to do or what we are doing wrong.

At one point tonight I actually began muting certain people on ts so I could concentrate on healing as it is not my first spec & I need to be more focussed when doing it.  I hate having to make that choice but I am there to do a job not be told what to do by anyone but the officer in charge or the tank, as far as I am concerned unless you are either of those you should be being quiet & letting us all focus on the job in hand.

I too hate the public nature of correcting people even if you should be doing it it should never be done like that, especially to new people who have neither the gear or the knowledge perhaps to accommodate your demands.  Nothing should be demanded of us except patience, tolerance, fun & killing the damn boss!!

Does anyone figured out the problem with the low dps? Becouse as Mal said after the xt kill, the gap from the last xt fight was quite huge (it took us almost twice the time it took us on the previous run).

I know some voices can be annoying and distracting (mine above all, i recon) however muting some members can turn against you: let's say you muted me becouse i blabbed during every fight so far being the annoying jerk i am, and just after i've been muted, during the fight i say the only thing worth listening to in the whole raid, the one that can save the fight and let us kill the boss, and it implies the coordinate movement of the raid; the only thing you should be able to listen is mal or another officer saying "Good idea, let's do it now, on 3: 1, 2,3, Move!".
You can figure out what the mess could have been on ts during 40 men raids on vanilla wow. :)
Another thing: sometimes it's needed to make a raid member aware that his movement/actions can cause a wipe, and the officers and raid leaders, even if good as they are, cannot be everywhere. The only way to avoid massive raid dmg and a possible wipe, is to point out on ts (by the time you've typed it, it could be too late). No blaming is involved, since everyone here can commit mistakes, we're all humans for crying out loud.
However, i can promise you that, at least by my side, i'll be as quiet as i can on ts, if not muting my microphone completely.

We do have a few newer members that attended the raid last night and, while their performance is good, their gear really isn't up to Ulduar standards and this really does show in the dps output.

We were also rather melee heavy last night which again does not help in fights such as KT.

There will always be people up for heroic runs so for our newer members, do not be afraid to ask in guild chat for a gear run :) We are all here to help each other.

I'm up for a one night quick naxx25 clear, if it's as fast and smooth as the last one. :D
Last record is 2h and 51 minutes, can we try to beat it? :narnar:

there isnt really anything left for me in Heroics upgrade wise, to get upgrades ill need to go to Naxx25 or similar..

Sadly i dont have VoA/EoE achivements so cant pug those, so ill just have to wait till a naxx25 or similar gear run pops up

Fatdog pointed out something to me this morning dps was low last night compared to sunday 7th of june, look at total dps at bottom of the chart.

XT-002 Fight:

Last Night

Kologarn Fight

Last Night

Both Fights on Sunday had much higher dps, but its with pretty much the same grp of poeple, personally i think it was just a really bad day for all of us last night:( so maybe just need to get are heads back in the right place and they will go down, we have down Kologarn twice now on heroic, so we should be able to it more often. As i said just a really bad night for us all:(

Edit:
Also with regards to gear ups, why not just set aside a night For a Full clear of Naxx, we know we can do it under the 3 hour raid time that we run:)

Well then.  I had fun anyway :)

First and second part were good times, on the Kologarn wipes and being the noobie I understand the change.

And sorry for my dumb roll on a weapon offspec :( First time on a 25man raid and it was alot to take in at the time and I just got a bit messed up.

Have to remember im using a level 74 MH weapon still! Once I have this upto something hard hitting I should be able to have some better raid times with the guild. (Not from AH hey Kreg! :boxing:)

Now, I know I wasn't in the raid last night, but I would like to post my opinion regardless.

I'm used to raiding with only one RL speaking, or a maximum of two in complicated fights, and everyone else is dead silent on TS. All other communication is dealt with in class channels lead by one assigned class leader. It demands that each and every player in the raid know his/her role. Efficient? Yes, yes. Fun? Myeah..... Relaxed? Nowai. Thing is, I kinda like the easy going, friendly bickering attitude of DMRers on TS.

I haven't experienced name calling in DMR so far, or hostile behaviour, and that, my friends, is quite unique. <3 Don't change.

Don't.

Ok I would like to clear up something it was only one member I had to mute on ts last night & this was after a discussion with the officer in charge of healing.

In a 10 man raid I have no problem with the 9 other voices but in 25 man raids if I am healing especially I need only the  1 or 2 voices during a fight & the healing channel also.

I hated to do it but I also hated the fact that I was being told what to do by others that often contradicted what I was being told by the one person I should be listening to.  With voice too it is often difficult to distinguish who is telling you what in the heat of a battle which of course can lead to multiple wipes especially as I mainly focus on our tanks due to my healing spec.:crying:

If I am melting faces, my job is much simpler, follow the marks, move when & where I should & kill stuff.

As for gearing up newer raid members I love the helping side of this guild & participate as much as possible in this.  We are a very friendly guild with some of the loveliest members in Aszune & no member is anymore important than another.  As Mezz said - Never change!!
