NOD32 just complained that my Windows installation is out of date. Checked and SP1 is out (well it is for my x64 version at least).

Updating now. If I don't reply within 20 mins ... it's not gone well :)

I reckon I must be on the "B" list as I always get my updates a few days after everyone else. Ive got Nod installed as well and it tells me all is lovely.

Out for 32 bit also, and as Oldie said "painless".:)

Thanks for the heads up old one.. :)

Using W7-64, the SP1 patch hosed my system: it did not reboot properly afterwards and kept asking for a proper boot device in BIOS.  Am investigating further, was booting it from a C300 SSD.

I had this too, same setup. SSD drive. However, I did have an external USB hard drive connected so I pulled this and rebooted. Loaded up fine after that so make sure you don't have any external USB drives, or USB memory sticks, plugged in!

Thanks G, will try disconnecting all the USB stuff and see what happens.

Penfold

Worked fine for me on four machines done so far.

I followed G's advice and disconnected all USB devices and W7-64 rebooted first time from the C300 SSD and completed the SP1 installation.  Plugged USB peripherals back  in (keyboard, mouse, hub, printer etc) and they all work fine too.

Wish MS would make the damn thing work properly on upgrade.

Thanks G!

No probs, boot issues usually turn out to be the bios trying to boot from a USB device for some reason. First time I've seen a windows update cause it though, but there you go, glad it's fixed :)

I noticed it rearranged some of my devices also, it reset HDMI audio as my primary audio device.

I use USB headset and so have that set as default for when it's plugged in.

Other than that, all's fine so far.
