Before I start I'm well aware that the Admins have knocked their b*ll*cks off setting up TCS, as well as orgainsing the LAN and all while Steam conspires against them....so I ask this with some trepidation that bods might think me wrongly ungrateful for all the work that goes into booking matches.

We used to book matches well in advance (weeks sometimes) but recently we seem to be booking a day or two in advance. Has there been a decision to cut the lead time on the matches or can I assume it is down to TCS workload, real life etc. etc?

I've run a clan myself and I'm fully aware of what a graft it can be booking matches at all, let alone getting them sorted well in advance. Therefore I ask only

We do try to book matches in advance. The more 'in advance' tends to mean more likely to be cancelled. It's just the way it is. If a match is cancelled we tend to throw an 'open' challenge into ED. This can be accepted by almost any clan up to the last minute.

What you, the members, need to remember is that there's a match every Sun, Mon, Wed and Thurs that you must be prepared to post your availability for. We, the match arrangers, will do our utmost to ensure that we have oppo for those days. Who they turn out to be can be a lottery.

To add to OB's comments:

It's fair to say that since the 'summer break' the Admins have felt their priorities lay elsewhere, but we have continued to try to book up matches in advance.  Part of the difficulty is that you need to have a pipeline of bookings built up and we are only midway through building that pipeline up again after restarting 4 matches per week instead of 2.

I am not sure if you can see the Match Planner page on ED, but at the moment we have matches booked for:

Indeed it does. Thanks to you both. I onlt asked as I remember a time when we seemed to have a dozen or more matches on the avaliability page.

Of course Oldies comments that we play regular nights is spot on and 'duh' for not working that one out for myself.

Wednesdays are always going to be tough for me but I can go for the Sundays no problem. Thanks for the responses
