Well, Qualifying is out of the way and it was without doubt the most entertaining in absolutely ages.

I'll not post the results yet in case anyone is still to watch it, but I found the qualifying great fun, especially with so little between the top 20.

the step was designed so the nose of the car would not go over the cockpit level from a side impact (i.e not decapitate the drive) but the McLaren have designed theirs so it is low enough without having to use the step design.

Fantastic race, shame you know who had gearbox issues though, some surprises in that race!

Marussia doesn't have a step either...but they are unlikely to get on camera much...


As for the race, I enjoyed it. Was a little disappointed by the result of the safety car. But it's interesting seeing Vettle trying to race for a change. Hopefully this will be a more interesting season in general than last year.
Juggling Hard Disks over concrete floors ends in tears 5% of the time.
