As the title suggests ive been having issues with facebook, for some reason it wont open in any browser at all, in all 3 browsers the "loading" circle just spins saying connecting, having attempted all recommended steps such as removing the cache from all browsers etc so was wondering if anyone else had any other solutions.

Is this on a corporate network? They could have blocked access. Try through something like Tor it'll be slow but should load.
Juggling Hard Disks over concrete floors ends in tears 5% of the time.

i get this sometimes, FB works on the tablet (acer a500) and my other laptop (samsung r55) but not on the one i was using, i just restart and that seems to cure it for a random number of weeks then it happens again, but only on my asus n55

I came into this world with nothing,
through careful management I\'ve got most of it left.

Nah it was on my home network where im the administrator, eventually the problem was resolved and it works all the time now, unfortunatly im not 100% sure what resolved it due to the number of solutions I used:

1. Remove all cookies, clear all browser cache's and remove password storage (one all passwords where wrote down)
2. Uninstall the Internet Explorer 9 Patch and then remove IE8 through usual uninstall methods.
3. Reset Firefox and Google Chrome
4. Profit!!!!

unsure if the solution was one of these or the cumulation of all 3, however whichever worked its all good :)

Having a similar issue with FB myself.. My stationary pc wont load fb 90% of the times i try, but both my laptops loads just fine.
All running chrome, but stationary has the issue with IE+FF+Chrome.. ive flushed the dns, ive checked the routing in the switch and router, ive rebuilt the host file on the stationary pc.
As the issue isnt limited to one browser, its either a network issue or a pc issue, both switch and router pings fb just fine, pc fails, so looking at a pc limited issue.
ive reset everything i could think of interfering with the route to facebook on the pc, no luck so far.
nothing seems to work.

Follow the above steps (perform them all) then restart your computer and attempt to log in, should the login page appear, delete your email and password and retype them, as it was a common bug with MSN and various other social software/sites where if the data was left input for too long the website password storage had a habbit of adding an extra character and screwing your login up.

Lemme know what happens, also I turned my router/Virgin box off for a good ten minutes as due to the ammount of time mine is used/active I decided a break and a fresh traffic line may help, so let me know the results.

1. all my cookies gets deleted on browser shutdown, so not the issue
2. Uninstalling IE has been tried.
3. FF+chrome reset already attempted.
4. No profit.

Running a pure Chrome install (no plugins) helps neither.

really nothing to do with password storage, as the issue seems to be a route issue.. (ping/tracert shows high route times, but it resolves the address fine)

My cisco switch 2960G 8TC-L, my Asus RT-66U (AP mode), my broadband modem has all been restarted several times (AP and modem restarts each morning at 5am by schedule)
