Has anyone given this game a proper tryout?

I'm intrigued to know why so many N42 players found it so much more rewarding than CS.

Dr Sadako

Yup. Didn't like it at all.

I thought it was slow paced and you never saw the enemy.

geez you guys are so yesterday :P sadako you could have at least given teamplay a chance. I know alot of people don't like the pace of co op but tvt is brutal!
There is a nice thread about it over at N42, I don't really feel like typing it all over again. http://www.xlii.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t...5118&highlight=

Hi eternal.

Thanks for dropping by.

Now then. What's the difference between co-op and tvt?

Co op is cooperative meaning all the "humans" are on a team of 9 together against the ai completing objectives. It is very intense and quite challenging but the "commander" sets the speed of the mission.

TvT is team vs. team. All human, usually 2 teams of up to 18 on a team (I think). There are quite a few different ways to play tvt, (too many to list here) but our favorite is domination where there are 5 points on the map, as long as you control any of them you get points. The team with the most points at the end wins. There are about 8 other ways to play tvt but that is the one we do the most.

I think it's kind of funny that you guys talk about playing it once, or having it still in shrink wrap but you don't like it. Give it a chance, come play with ol dad.
In return I will come on the cs server and let you beat me with a led hose. (I just sent in my info)

I downloaded GR off Kazaa a while back, its Rainbow 6 in diguise....

Insanely difficult, but quite rewarding.
