Played lately:

STALKER: Excellent, gritty, hard, lots of action
STALKER Clear sky: Good, but really more of the same....
STALKER Call of Pripyat: Better than Clear sky, not so good as Stalker. Lots of bug fixes, lots of new, again very gritty.

Metro 2033: Linear, but great setting and very good (on hard difficulty - all else is too easy)
Metro Last Light: Really Metro 1.5 - more of the same. But its good, so who cares

Bioshock: Good, novel, nice FPS action.
Bioshock 2: Neh....
Bioshock Infinite: Now why did I buy that one?????

Halkf-Life - Black Mesa mod: Excellent relving the old Half-Life with improved graphics. Well worth to play again.
Half-Life 2 (all episodes): THE FPS?
Half-Life 3: My wet dream:dribble:

Thats what I played through the last 2 years.... :D

Oh, I thought Infinite was rather good. One of of the better plots for a single player game in recent times.

None of them are a patch on System Shock 2 though :(
Hero of the Battle Of Chalkeia

I think the Bioshock series are good, I just can't get to grips with the jolly-colored 1950'is style.. I like my shooters a bit more on the gritty side. Thats all.

I came into this world with nothing,
through careful management I\'ve got most of it left.
