As this game is growing and we are getting more and more regular players from outside the of the community.

I think we should like the other games should start showing our TAGS.   Using the gudelines we can use the original ones not the shorten tags used for CoD4 or BC2

I have played with the naming of profiles and we can use the full tags ie -=[dMw]=-BrotherTobious

There is only one issue that you can not just rename your profile you have to build a new profile,  which and here's the pain you have to re do all your controls and added the dMw server to your profile.

So I was thinking if you are a Admin or Badged player the please can we use the tags.

For new players I am thinking that we don't use the tags till they are badged then the change up will be less of a hassle.

What do you fine people think??

ok....so you need to;

1. Start the game, create a new profile as 'flashy new profile with wings'.
2. Then exit. Go to your 'My Documents' folder and Arma2, open your profile with notepad or equivalent. (in my case it was Benny.ArmA2Profile). Copy the entire contents to clipboard. (Ctrl-a, ctrl-c)

3. Next, go up a level and go to 'My Documents'/Arma 2 Other Profiles. Navigate to your new sparkly profile, open it and replace the entire content with your copied data.

Bobs your mothers brother et violas.

You now have a new profile, with added wings.....(but you can't delete your original.....you can try  but the game is sentient and recreates it, so don't bother)

And if you really want to snazzy it up...

Sounds good to me.

Well done Tobes and thankyou

BrotherTobious

Well as Benny has come up with such a good work around.  I think we will use this system.

I would recommend you backing up your original profile first.

Thanks all

ive been using -=[dMw]=- tags in arma since we started....fingers on pulse guys..... ;-)

I came into this world with nothing,
through careful management I\'ve got most of it left.

BrotherTobious

Just a gentle reminder that all with Red or Green Badges should have full tags on.  For Example  -=[dMw]=-BrotherTobious

Thank you

Just a point for the future guys all them with Arma badges will keep them when Arma III is release.

Those that do not have them yet will have to earn them :)
