In news that will hardly stun the world, HBO have had the foresight and wisdom to confirm that they have commissioned the next two series of Game of Thrones.

Rejoice, and let's hope George R. R. Martin lives long enough to complete the story so there's an ending left for HBO to commission after these next two series!

He's a sprightly sixty five, so I'm sure he's got a few more years left in him. I've also read (unconfirmed) that he has  the complete timeline for the story mapped out. So if something tragic should happen then at least the story could be completed by someone else. I#m sure HBO has made sure they can somehow 'finish' the series regardless.

Update of Game of Desks, Stephen Colbert has been announced as the new host of Letterman. He's due to take over when Dave retires :D
