Elite: Dangerous Premiere event - Questions from dMw

As I am going to the Première Event at the end of the month, I thought it might be a good opportunity to ask Frontier some questions from the Dead Men Walking community about the game.

Not just from those who already have the BETA, but also from others who would like to know more about the game.

I thought if we can distill a list of 20 questions from the community and I will endevour to get them answered by Frontier on the night - maybe even on their live twitch stream.

With that in mind I will start the ball rolling with my first question, which is "Will you be able to gift a copy of Elite to someone?"

Is it the expectation that all of the elements in the design discussion archive will be present in the full game before release? Mainly i'm thinking about stuff like at the moment mining is pretty boring, but what's in the DDF sounds really quite cool. Will we have that, or only the basic barebones like now, for all the various elements from that forum in time for the release date.

Is there any sort of update as to the expected release of the mobile app that was teased a while back in the newsletter? Is this coming with the game release, not expected for a good few months after release of the main game, will there be beta tests ahead of a general release etc?

What can we expect to see with regards to in-depth co-operative team-play?

Maybe my question should be researched before asking. I suspect the design section of the forums will answer that and also I would think the co-op side of things is a pretty hot topic right now.

yeah we could do with more co-op, maybe multi-ship missions e.g taking down a big cargo ship or assaulting a band of pirates.

It'll be good to see what the gamma release will surprise us with on the 22nd as there are rumours of some very good additions under wraps.
