  • You may vote for as many of the ship names as you like.   If they make you laugh, are cryptic enough, give them a vote.
  • Poll closes in 7 days and the winner will be announced thereafter.

Vote NOW please!

A choice of some subscriber flair is now available to MIS Daisy, providing she lives long enough to claim it!

Congrats on the win Oldie, brilliant name (for the ship, not for you)!

Well done Oldie! I would have voted, but this is the first I've seen of this thread for some reason... :-)

Thanks peeps.

Sadly, MIS Daisy will not be staying as the shipname. I'm planning on using a naming system stolen from an excellent Ann Leckie novel called 'Ancillary Justice'.

The ships have classes such as Mercy, Sword, Justice etc. and are named using their class name followed by the name of an in-fiction deity.

So, for example, a warship might be 'Justice of Toren' whereas a ship more suited to diplomacy or relief work would be 'Mercy of Toren'.

The challenge is to think up the classes beyond what's already mentioned here and then to assign those classes to the ships in the SC Universe.

Instead of deities I will be using system names from SC so, again as an example, my Carrack might be 'Mercy of Charon'.

Any suggestions for the classes would be very helpful so please add them to this thread if you feel so inclined. Also add which SC ships would be most suited to that class too :thumb:
