Need some technical help

Ok chaps, for the past few weeks i have been trying to install a just flight aircraft. Now before you say "this should be in the FSX forum", I think it doesnt, and as it is also happening to a purchase last night (tristar) I reliased ive exhausted all avenues.

So what happens :The activation window is white or turns white when activating a product (as in the app hangs) see here

So the app crashes and i have to go to task manager where it says "not responding" and in the logs it says that the app hung. Now the thing is the canberra aircraft uses the same installation wrapper and works fine. Now the funny thing is it works with all other compters in my house 1 runs windows 7, 1 runs windows 8 and even the tech version of windows 10 runs it fine. But you cant install and move the files so that doesnt really help.

Now i have carried out all the following actions after discussion with Just flight who could offer no explanation.


Tried compatabilty modes - no success
Tried disabling AV and firewall - no success
Tried turning all the safetys off on IE - no success
Tried safe mode with networking - no success
Tried renaming the .exe - no success
Ran it from other hard drives - no success
Turned off the firewall on router (didnt matter as the other computers ran it) - no success
I then thought something must be corrupt on my windows 8 instal, so I reinstalled windows (only took 9 minutes..love ssds) - no success

The app crash is the same each time reguardless of what I do and im running out of ideas

If anyone is willing to look at the .dmp file ill post it here at lunchtime as im in work. ill also post the windows log

hopefully one of you techno people will know what the next step is

Disconnect all hardware other than display, mouse and keyboard. Preferably use a simple generic mouse.
See if there is more you can do like remove or disconnect RAM or/and disks too.

This is all I can think of at this time.

ok so after months of trying i decided to run it from a new external usb 3 drive and it works!!!! but on any other drive in my computer it crashes...how random is that, thx for the help
