Joe Scummer

Hi Everyone,

I met a few of you at the Star Citizen pub meet in Crawley back on April 11th so thought I'd pop on here and say hello, it was great to meet a few fellow enthusiasts and it was amusing to hear that LAN parties were still going strong it's definitely something I wouldn't mind getting into again has been many a long year since my PC took a trip out.

Me and one of my old Eve buddies are currently looking for a good org in Star Citizen and having failed to persuade more of our old crew to join us have been looking around trying to find a half decent home so would be interested in hooking up with you guys and seeing how things run.

Other than Star Citizen I'm playing some (Though if you speak to my Wife a lot of) World of Tanks and a messing around with a bit of Kerbal space program when my kids aren't demanding attention or the wife isn't making me paint things. For anyone interested my user name on WOT is joe_scummer so if you feel like platooning up message me if I'm on and I'll show you how not to play the game.

As for me those that have met me will know I'm knocking on a bit, 44 to be precise my real name is Richard though most of my mates either call me Tricky or Cookie. I've been gaming since having a zx spectrum back in the day watching groups of 5 or 6 pixels race around the screen playing harrier attack and thinking how things don't get much better than this, how times have changed.

My gaming handle Joe Scummer is something I've used on many online games and its one of those happy coincidences, Joe Scummer being a character from my favourite childhood comic strip Bad Company and the happy coincidence being somewhere down the line I became a Southampton supporter so a Scummer as any Pompey fan will tell you.

Anyway I look forward to seeing you all in the verse soon enough.

Cheers

Tricky

Welcome Tricky, good to see you here!

I don't like to mention age, but seeing as you brought it up, you're actually one of the young ones around here, I fear!

We're starting to get a nice fleet together now, and seeing as Star Citizen is starting to take shape, I'm hoping to start dragging people into some multiplayer games on a semi regular basis, so watch this space.

Hope to see you around...enjoy! :)

Hi Tricky. Glad you found your way here and thanks for taking the time to say 'Hi' :thumb:

We'd love to have you and your buddy onboard with us. If you like what you see here then, when you're ready, apply to join the org and I'll sort out the rest.

As Obs has said, our fleet is coming along nicely and we're so looking forward to using them in the team-based opportunities just around the corner.

Joe Scummer

thanks for all the welcomes nice to see a community that is alive, I'll hopefully get on and have a look around at the weekend providing the wife doesn't decide it's time for some re-decorating or some other nonsense.

@Oldbloke, I'll let my mate Slann know that you have no objections to us joining, we'll just have to wrap up our current org then get the applications in, between the 2 of us we have a fair few ships and seeing as my concierge lit up the other day I guess that means I've spent too much on Star Citizen already.

There's a fair few with that 'condition', we're all still awaiting treatment but loving it in the meantime!
