I had a bash at the training module which was pretty cool. It's got bugs in it, one of which makes advancement through the training impossible but it's fun and a good way to learn stuff.

Oh and loading times are vastly improved. If they never get any better than this the speed is about average for a load time (20-30 seconds)

Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.

What bug prevented completion Smilo? It was a challenge but not insurmountable.

It's just after I land on the pad for the first time, once I have kiled the two drone ships. The trainer asks me to lift off and try out the speed boost feature. As soon as I lift off I see a warning saying I have left the training zone. The game then restarts me on the landing pad.

Not that it helps you but that doesn't happen for me.  Have you tried both Manual and Automatic take off?

albert

If it says that's the end trainee to you and restarts you from the landing pad, just firstly request take off,  raise up and start following him without being asked. It also has a bug where you wait to be told to follow and he's too far ahead and that phase restarts again at the landing pad. I left quick sharpish and managed to follow him through the rest of the training. Lucky we are in Gladius as there is a nice bit of weaving through rocks.

I have trouble just landing the damned ship. I land (as in the bottom of the ship touches the correct pad), but nothing happens in terms of mission update.

albert

I think landing is more of a bouncing action with the sensitivity of the vertical strafe. I lowered that setting right down to about 10% and it's a bit less severe but it's still brutally over sensitive. You also have to really push the ship into the pad to get your landing registered as complete as well which of done without care leads to a few badgers falling off! Also did you remember to target a pad and request docking permission? It won't let you land otherwise.
Cheers, Bert
