Is there an up to date howto for installing a decent texture pack? I'll follow one of the older ones if the info is still current post Microsoft acquisition.

Same thing, the MCPatcher for 1.8 and the latest textures for 1.8.

Have noticed they haven't quite got glass working frameless fully on the latest MCPatcher and Sphax PureBDcraft.

Actually blocks seem to be fine, but I noticed some blips on panes of glass when I fired up an old single player survival.

Thanks for that. Any reason why I might get a 'failed to connect, authentication servers are down for maintenance' message?

Scratch that. Changed my DNS servers in Windows to Google and all is well.

I was getting a lot of that last night too. Connected on 5th or 6th attempt.
