 i had the bold before the sale and i paid more for them then i did for all the stuff not in bold

you dont need anything apart from fsx vanilla or steam to take part, these are eye candy goodies for us fsx nerds

Pity the 'Southern California' release (which was issued about an hour ago) does not seem to be included in the 35% off sale, despite the fact thatthe Orbx website proclaims '35% off everything".

In the last two minutes they just added a caveat on their website:
Quote* Excludes any Orbx product released after 1st December 2015. The sale runs until the 1st of January 2016 11:59pm AEDT.
So there goes the Southern California release discount. :sad:

So FTX Global isn't actually global terrain then? Or do they just release certain areas as 'higher detail'?

we could do with doing some hops in the USA really, we have only done the Canyon.

....January fly in idea sorted :)

Global just improves the base layer, as for the caveat , it's been there the entire time. First thing I noticed

You can improve your graphics in FSX by improving each of the different 'layers' that is used to make up what you see.  

Take a look at pgaes 14 and 15 from the openLC manual which explains the layers and which product improves which layer:

so ive only got a 250 gb ssd...which has arma and elite on it, but the biggest issue is that now i have maxed my fsx out, with all the aircraft and scenary...well
