Might be nice to share some tips :).

 - Storage containers can be named/renamed so you can organise your stuff a little easier.
 - You gain exp when around other ppl doing stuff (crafting/gathering/killing)
 - taming dinos is quicker (x5) if you make there favourite kibble (but you need prime meat, specific dino egg and high end plant from a farm) also kibble doesn't rot

- Safety in numbers
- You think its cold at night, go Kairuku Clubbing in the north to put some hair on your chest
- Only go out with what you're prepared to lose

Is there any more info on kibble? What do you mean by high end plant from a farm? Thanks

Good tips there!

One from me is it can beneficial to build whilst out farming as built walls for example is relatively light compared to the materials

Apparently I actually exist! Or maybe it was the drink?

Lots of info in the taming sections in the Wiki about the various required kibbles. Reduces taming to silly times, but the ingredients look like a pain to get although you do have most of the dinos to farm the eggs.

Looks like we need to get those plots running on the beach for some high end veggies. I'll fly some composing bins over.

Farming - basically you need seeds, fertilizer and an irrigated plot (watered).

The beach has irrigated plots, at one point we had the 4 medium plots, 1 for each high end veg.

There are seeds in the beach house (through the door, turn right, storage box in the corner).

For fertiliser you need poop and thatch. (50 thatch and 3 poop of any size/mix to make a bag for fert). Each Compost bin can make 1 bag every 50 minutes, you can get enough in there for 2 bags before it needs restocking and bags removing. (bags don't stack)

We also used the small ones to make narco berries but the mammoths really make that pointless.

There was some irrigation up to the base on the cliff but the pipes got damaged. Might be worth getting that working again and putting some plots up there. There is stone irrigation spares in the beech hut.

Easier to keep them close to compost bins and were dinos that poop.

Another aside, dino eggs are long decays and even longer in the fridge/preservation units.

I'll try and get on tonight and get that going, once you have plants you just need to keep fertilising it. fruit/beg last indefinitely on the plant, but high end stuff only lasts 30 minutes or so. Pick it when you need it.

A tip for taming:

If possible tame the dino as close as you can to your own building/compound to keep it save, if that isn't an option, then try to get it down in a good defendable location.
When going for dino's  that eat the narco stuff as candy bring in another tribe member (1 to farm meat 1 to keep the dino drugged)

Also keep in mind that some dino's like our birds can pick up some dino's and dump them in a kill/tame box, where you can tranq them down and tame them easy mode.
(currently there are 3 taming boxes build, 1 at the keep, 1 at the crater and the last one at the north beach (my place) the one in the north is also open for use for the other tribe)
