I started this thread so that we can try to collate the various opinions on the other team's tactics for our future use/consideration.  So, without further ado, can all those who were on the team last night post all the details they can remember about the firing lines, positions, which weapons seemed to work well at which point on the map etc of the other team (or ours) that seemed to work?  Don't forget to split your post into 2 parts - ie what works for T and what works for CT.

If we gather this kind of feedback from each match we should at least have a database of HOW we got whipped   :?  Using the type of Subject Header like the above will also be useful for searching the database in later months.

Post away dudes......oh, and a question from me: Where were Morpheus and Pro last night when they cleaned up 90% of the CT frags and which weapons were they using?

/me may need to start being more serious in future....nah thats boring.

Why dont we have this map in the rotation as i thought it was a superb game/map

Fisrt, Morpheus and Pro were both up high every round when CT. Either in the top bombsite in the rafters or outside on the ledge. They were using Augs/ Colts and MP5s when they were low on cash I think. I saw no scouts cause they would have been useless inside the bombsite. One CT was sniping from the big garage but not effective and he retreated early each round if we went to the lower site to help his two team mates.

Ts feedback.

Opponants CT placement 3 on surface and 2 below. 1 x sniper in big garage, 2 x mid range rifemen up high in ledge or in top bombsite garage, 2 x CTs in bottom site milling around waiting covering big window and slope down into site.

I thought a rush outside then duck into the garage would have worked well. It didn't because of these two CTs above camping high up.
What worked was as follows:

1) The left rush either to top or bottom site as this choke point is just doom for either team if there is a big battle leaving the rest of the round as a 1 v 1 fight. So CTs never got in the way of a rush there. (Similar to us when we were CTs).
2) It was very easy to get into either site via the left route, it was trickier keeping alive after planting the bomb. Our defensive placement wasn't consistant. 5 good camping spots are. a)B) either corner at the vents covering the high places c) in the small room through the door in the corner to shoot the backs of rushing CTs. d) in the corner covering the entrance through the small hut although a lot of faith placed in team mates coving the high places is needed as you are a sitting duck there from up high. e) on the main entrance way covering the outside area or alternatively f) trying to get up the ladder to cover the high places.
3) Entering the top site through the dark covered steps via the little hut was good so long as we were quiet and took out the CTs up high straight away (we didn't do that much). We could have gone hard left and 4 people entered the top site whilst one crept round the back and up the ladders to take out their top guys as the others made plenty noise.
4) Entering the bottom site was good via the left route because there were only 2 CTs ever down there. What we lacked was 5 good camping spots to defend the site from. These in my opinion are: a) and B) either corner next to the vents out of site of the vent guys. Out of site means you can't get killed (normally). c) and d) in the two dark corners low in the opposite side of the room. Alt c) and d) or an e) the two dark corners below the vents. Must stay out of site of vents or cover them and must stay away from side doors. Don't go in the vents as they just nade then to high heaven. And I get stuck.

CTs feedback

We did well in the first half. One thing I noticed, the Ts did not stick together, they tried to fake both sites and plant quick. There is a 45 sec timer which is enough on this map to get from site to site and take out the Ts, especially if two are dead already from splitting up.

Great strategy by us to stick to the top site. They were too fragmented to take us all on so we were placed as follows a)B) Two in front door of top bombsite c) one covering middle in case of a left rush by Ts (which they did a lot) d) Two up high

I felt the thing that saved the Ts from us in the first half was their deadly HSs which they did quite a bit. I was a bit slow getting between sites cause I kept getting stuck in the vents (too fat). We could have done with being more deadly with the chances to kill that we got. This is where they beat us when they were CTs, they killed us outside when they had the chance. Solution to this is a good mid-range rifleman up high covering inside and outside (just like they did as CTs, Morpheis and Pro!). I think that could have won us the first half in retrospect.

I'll add more as it comes back to me.

As old Brucey says, good game.  -O

Great feedback Albert - anyone else got any observations that we can learn from?

That's got to be a new record.  The thread usually degenerates from post 6.  FatBob, that was post 5.  You're a star  8O
