3.0GHz s478 for a s473 mobo

Stuck with a socket 423 RAMBUS system and don't know how to upgrade?

Why not take a socket 478 cpu and squeeze it really hard into the cpu slot using this.

is it worth the £122 to upgrade to the 3.06ghz model or shall i just build a new pc?  Thanks for the info tl very much appreciated! ;)

It's cheaper than a whole new system which is what you would otherwise have to buy if you wanted to upgrade.
