Logitech mice, XP and CS

1. How the f*** do people find this stuff out?????

2. Why can the manufacturers not find this stuff out and incorporate it into the installation routine :-)

I have the MX500 and XP, no drivers installed and i can use all five buttons in CS.

Hmmm, 8 buttons, one hand, you got something you want to tell us Oldie  :wink:

More to the topic, I have a Logitech mouse and found the MouseWare software a pain to. I ended up just letting XP decide. There is also a tweak that fixes a bug in logitech mice. The bug is that the mouse wheel won't work in games so you have to install this patch for my mouse and some others, not sure if yours will be the same but here you go anyway:

yes, didn't think of that, but two of those buttons are just for scrolling up and down (like the wheel). When i installed the MouseWare i still couldn't change those buttons to anything else anywhere. And the button with a window on it is just completely misplaced imho.
