Anyone else unable to connect to BF2 Account Server tonight?

Edit: According to game-monitor.com

there are two players on the server at the moment. So I guess this doesn't influence everybody?

Dont know if this has anything to do with it but.....

EA wanted to get this important update out to the fans today regarding the unlocking weapons situation. Have a listen.

Many users logged into Battlefield 2 today to discover that they had access to all of the game's weapons unlocked in their profile. We have fixed the root issue that caused this to occur and by tomorrow morning all users will return to having access only to the weapons which they had earned. Once our solution is in place, if you find that you do not have access to weapons appropriate to your in-game rank, please direct inquiries to the Support sites linked below. In some cases users may be prompted to re-select the Unlock weapons that they are eligible for (if you are eligible for two weapons you will get to choose the two you wish to have unlocked).

Users in the U.S., please visit http://eatech.custhelp.com to report your technical issue and one of our Support representatives will help you out ASAP.

Yeah saw that posted earlier today. Sounds very likely that this has something to do with this login problem, I guess.

Not too worried at the moment as I've got 2 more weeks of using an old Nvidia Vanta 16MB video card until my warranty replacement arrives....

the only thing I will be playing online is backgammon on the zone.com! Doh!

Due to EA's maintenance on their servers you may not be able to login to the game. EA have announced that they expect to have servers returned to normal within a couple of hours.. We thank you for your understanding in this matter as EA resolve the matt....

Found that on gamespy, servers are offline untill they get them sorted I guess (although clearly some ppl can get on & not others)........

Anyone up for some cz?

i reckon it be working later so time for me to clean up my 2nd pc ready for installing another bf 2 for my kids to thrash me lol
