Danny the Dog

It may come as a surprise to some that Jet Li can act considering the english speaking pos movies he has been in. Danny the Dog is the first english speaking movie where we actually see what he is capable of. The movie itself is based on a screenplay by Luc Besson and it is a quite violet movie. I would say that it is too violent and that the violence mostly goes from necessary for the story to pure entertainment/sadistic violence and could have been cut away. Morgan Freeman does (as always) a strong supporting role as blind piano tuner and Bob Hoskins as scum of the earth badguy.

The storyline idea is quite interesting but not very well displayed/executed - 4/10.
