Sorry to flood the forum with my doodles...

But I noticed that a few people have started to use my ribbons in thier signatures.

Very falttering, thanks guys!

BUT...The size I have done them is not very 'signature friendly' - ie, they are a bit big (especially with the white background and drop shadow I use to display them).

SO...I am going to start doing mini-ribbon versions of whatever I do from now on so that - if you wanna use them in a signature - they will be easier to use.

Here's an example of a mini- ribbon:

These are 80x23 pixels in size - so they are compatible with the 'Tactical Gamer' size sig. ribbons (in case we ever decide to do something similar & it also means that out friends at 'TG' can use them in their sigs. if they want).

What do you think?

I will work through the beer and national flag ribbons first - and if anyone wants to add one of my 'joke' ribbons I will do them as requested.

FINALLY - this should allow you all to easily make up a signature ribbon 'bar' without to much fuss.

Regards, Ranger

As well as working through what I have done already into the mini-rbbons (plus producing new ones - I have a bit of a back-log of requests from you guys!), I am always looking for new ideas for ribbons that we would want in our sigs...

One I was toying with the idea of a series of 'relationship ribbons' - because, as you guys know, our relationships with girlfriends/wives has a big impact on our game time!

:)

So - I could do a ribbon for so many years servitude - er, sorry - 'marrige' LOL

And so on.

Other ideas for ribbons include; car models (I can see BIG-Dewey smiling now!), football/rugby clubs, female attribute preference ribbons (leg man? boob man?), and finally (god forgive me!) computer chip preference, video card make and prefered OS ribbons!

Any other suggestions (...And I can hear you thinking - 'what about a 'stop the bloody ribbons ribbon!'...er, I can do that!)

;)

Nice one Ranger, I shall look forward to adding some to my signature.

I suggest we agree a maximum number or the sigs are going to get silly.

Nice idea BlueBall...

Which is kinda why I reduced the ribbon size.

I've been looking at the 'Tactical Gamer' forum - where I got the new size from - and they allow 6 ribbons (mini) in one row.

I think 12 ribbons (two rows) would look nice (and not too bandwith heavy) - 3 rows would be 18 ribbons...

What do you think?

What about adding each picture in a single file to one server, and then we can all link to each pic, as we feel like? I.e. one pic pr. ribbon? Instead of having to do picture editing...

This might add a lot of strain to which ever server hosts the images - for example, I have noticed my ribbons appearing here and there across several BF2 forums. If people started linking to my originals, rather than downlading them to thier own web space, my ISP would soon start wanting to charge me extra for teh additional bandwidth used!

:)

OK - a bit of an exaggeration, but you get the idea! ;)

What I am going to do when I have all my ribbons caught up with (full-sized with mini to go with it) is upload them all to a catalogue page and encourage paeople to download what the want to make up their signatures.

It'll encourage me to finally get a proper Team-BIG web site done!

(PS - my girlfriend just suggested that I did a 'forgot to wash the dishes because I was playing BF2' ribbon...Was that a hint?)

Actually you're not wrong mate...

I've been promising to put a new toilet seat on the bog for weeks now (the new one has been sitting gathering dust)...But there always seems to be a BF2 game on that's more interesting!

...I mean to say - what's the rush anyway? I never use the bog seat anyhow!

You're joking?!?!?!?!?!

:)

Seriously - you ARE joking aren't you???

I picked this 80 x 23 size as it goes nicely (in a row of 6 ribbons) with a lot of the signature/stat graphics out there (they sit nicely underneath the sig graphics)...

Smaller - you'd need a magnifying glass mate, especially with some of teh joke ones as the little pictures would be indistinguishable!

If you need them smaller, I would just take the mini-ribbons I have done and then shrink them in Photoshop!

...Smaller...Rant, rant, rant!

DuVeL

You've misinterpreted my sentens. What I mean is: There are still a few ribbons that are large, are you going to make them smaller aswell?
