Hi Killcrazy, this thread at OC might help?

graphic cards

Let us know which card you go for. Overclockers has some good deals on GC at the moment, worth a look.

Hippy

You can get a 6800le from overclockers for £105.

Sounds good m8, where did you get it from, how much did you pay, what did you have before... does it make your breakfast...we need answers :)

Barley

I have a rather nice 6600GT, and I LOVE it!!  :D

I too am thinking of upgrading, what do people think of these and which one would you go for?

FBG thats a very good price, cheapest I could find on the net for that make and model.

Why not get the cheaper OC model below it on that page?

The 6800 GT's are nice cards and I believe can be overclocked or flashed to give you the same speed as the Ultras.

I'll be buying a new card soon, obviously I'd like a 7800GTX but haven't got the money. So I may go for a either a 6800GT or 7800GT  - ah decisions decisions!

I've had to buy a new card this week due to having problems with my Asus 9800XT.
Bought the
QuoteXFX GeForce 6600 GT 256MB DDR3 TV-Out/Dual DVI (AGP)
from O/C
Seems i have swapped a good card for a good card and can see no difference apart from the graphics glitches are now gone.

Now i need to phone them about the missing games :(

Smite, can't you get better resolution or quality with your new card, it should be faster.

Didnt one of our guys have 6600 GT for sale in the exchange for a good price? Did anyone buy that?

smite

Yep but nothing different from my old card, they both go upto 1920 x 1440 and run easily.

I got the XFX 6800GT a while ago. I fitted the Artic Cooling NV5 fan as recommended by Dogmeat and it happily clocks to faster than an Ultra.

Fitting the NV5 is highly recommended in my book, quiter and cooler plus increases OC ability :)

Oooh, what are the 7800GTX like? Any good reviews?
