dMw Weapons Packs Version 1.0

Hello All,

I was getting fed up installing model replacements and never knowing which ones I like best and if they were in the right place etc....

So I decided to make a little model pack to get things nice and neat and for you all to try out.

Warning, backup /models and /sound/weapons first. Just unzip into your cstrike folder.

It's pistols only and has a realistic replacement for each pistol with a couple of selcted sound improvements for the Elites and Glock to give them a bit more balls.

1) Deagle, Silver version of one Oldie found on csnation.
2) Glock, Slick Black Glock nice and simple and good animation, two replacement sound wavs to make it more tolerable in game
3) Elites, Cool Black LAM attatched l33ts with sound replacements
4) USP, Realistic USP version, nice animation and improved silencer
5) FiveSeven, Smart Silver well drawn replacement great animation
6) P228 (Alberts fav), Meaty P228 replacement with smooth animation

These should all work right or left handed but there is a left hand specific Glock included in the zip if any of you lefties want to try it. Also, some may prefer the black deagle or the bond esq gold FiveSeven. Let me know and I will post them on my page too.

I will be putting together a Rifle pack, SMG pack, Shottie pack, Misc pack (C4. Para, Knife) so watch this space.

All suggestions and comments welcome.

Both are common favorites you have probably seen in model packs before but there aren't many good shotties out there and these are two of the best. There is a replement shotgun shell in there too.

...and since the misc section only has C4, knife, para and nades (couldn't find a defuse kit). I've done that too:

It has the following:

1) HE, Flash and Smoke replacements, nice and clear with writing on
2) C4 in a swanky dark casing with a digital display and nicer sounds. Also cammoflaged alternative included
3) Para, the mother of all machine guns, serious machinegun sound with that nice revving up noise you hear on war films. Left model included.
4) Knife, the only knife to have, in your face silver bladed thing with a nice alternative sound when you make contact with objects.

So there you have it.

...and it's me again, I now present the rifle pack, this is a real nice pack if I do say so myself, even the dodgy auto-sniper rifles are lurvely:

The highlights are:

1) AK, only one perfect AK out there and it's in this pack, left model included. This model is the reason I enjoy using the AK so much
2) M4 Carbine, it's the Oldie discovered, Disney animated colt that you all probably have already, what a model this one is
3) Aug, Nicked from Fusion pack 7.5, this Aug is like an M4 with a scope and is the best around IMHO, great with a nice xhair (not included). New sounds too.
4) Sig552, Doorman told me about this one, another csnation model and what a good improvement. You'll love this one.
5) Scout, the only improvement on the original scout, cracking scope and black casing. Nice!
6) Sig550, Nicely textured alternative to the original of a gun most people can't use, the on ground model is also very stylish.
7) SG-1, Ts auto-rifle and a classic sniper rifle look, you'll like this one, but still won't be able to use it.
8..) AWM, the mother of all guns with the grandmother of all scopes!!! Check out this, what a great improvement on the original IMHO. Some new sounds too for this one.

To summarise:

1) mp5, classic style and the best real life copy I could find, I seem to play better with a simple navy as opposed to a fancy alternative. I have a cracking fancy one if anyone is interested?
2) P90, Neutron has posted a picture of the exact one I chose below. It is not a plain model to say the least but there is a left handed version and a version without the TAC light included, nice model all the same.
3) UMP, classic UZI style replacement for the UMP with much better sound to make the gun less like a pea shooter when it fires.
4) TMP, a nicely animated TMP with meatier sound and nice animation.
5) MAC10, similar improvements to the TMP, nice animation but still the old MAC10 we know and love (to miss everyone with)

As normal, let me know what you think, it's your pack, I put in what the public want.

i tryed the pistol pack 2 day,
i like the glock , very sweet.
the degal animation is cool but i dont like the model.
usp [urghhhhhh]

I've a bizaar P90 with lazer sight and scope and red muzzle flash etc.

It's kinda weird but I like it. I think it came from CS Nation Skin of the Day?

USP, yeah I expected a few comments about that choice. The USP is such a plain boring looking gun and I could either go for a complete replacement or a life like copy. This life like copy has all the subtle markings and has nice textures but is plain. Any suggestions for a replacement then let me know.

As for the Glock, I tried to chose one that would make you want to use the damn thing even if you don't kill anything with it, so the sounds are better. I can't belive you don't like the deagle, are you mad!

I found a slight glitch in the smg pack so I suggest anyone (if anyone) downloaded it beofre 18:30 on Thursday (today) they go get the updated version and delete the old version.

Either that or delete p_ump45.mdl from /models and replace it with the original as the updated one was corrupt. Or just let a server send it to you.

The corrected zip is on my web server.

OK, thanks to anyone who tried these packs...... if you did try any of them, I'm sure you would have found any bugs with files etc....

?

If you did please let me know and I will sort the problems out. I know of one with the smg pack and the p model of the UMP which has been fixed but are there any others?

Also, feedback, what models do you think are crap, everyone has different tastes, I know I can't handle the reload annimation of the m4a1 no matter how good it is it just seems to take ages and when you're in a gunfight desparately needed a reload it seems to take forever to go thought all those damn clicks. Sheepy doesn't like the deagle model (but he's mad) but are there any more?

Also, are there any models you use that are better or are good alternatives to the ones on the packs? Oldie, you like your models, any suggestions for improvement?

I obviously got a lot of mine from csnation and there are also some very nice player models. I currently use the British Para Pack as CT and the Dodgy Nazi extremists pack as the Ts as well as a nice hossie pack where they are all in suits and they shout a scream a lot. If you want to try them they are on csnation to!

It is also easy to extract files for single models out of the packs as no file other than the shottie shell mdl misses out the weapon name so all you need a p, v and w model for each weapon and any sound files in the sound folder if you want them too.

So c'mon, please give me some feedback.

A sweet set of gun skins â€¦had a play yesterday with them â€¦â€¦.I like all the skins â€¦loads better than the defaultâ€¦

The only sounds I changed
AWP and USP as I like the standard ones

The Misc pack is also good everything seems to work fine on it.

I have used most of them before at some point but.never all at once due to formats and PC changes ect.
Its nice to get them all in one place so ready to use

Well the graphics on some of the weapons were very nice. I hated the new sounds though. Could be that I am so used to the standard ones that I use to know what weapon the enemy uses.
