Dear World

We know you will miss us, but please don't take fear
We mean to be absent and not gaming here
The reason we're gone is so simple you see
We've gone to the dMw LAN party!

With cars, planes, scoobies and visitors too
All rushing us to March to be first in the queue
For entry to the biggest event of the year
So if you miss out we'll drink your Damn beer!

There'll be glowing neon from whirling mod kits
And people will roar as they see Benny's new bits
The hard drives will groan and attendees might twitch
When Smite announces LAN VIII's newest bitch

But fun will be had by the community crew
When gaming and laughing and drinking a few
In numbers and spirit we will have our full fill
Until Sunday morning when we pay the bill

But the locals will grin right across the whole Wash
Because dMw has come to spend some big dosh
On drinking on gaming and some sleeping too
Watched by a la carte Ron eating veggie tofu

For dMw peeps are the best you should know
Although rarely seen with a female in tow
For those that are interested FatBob will sort
A trip to the nightclub where allsorts are bought

The evenings are long and the company first class
But breakfast at eight we just might have to pass
For those with some strength you can sample the spa
But Sheepy and others will just watch from the bar

At eleven or twelve the last risers will stir
With eyes all scarlet and mouthes full of fur
They'll amble and lean as they stagger towards
The LAN competitions with monster rewards

Together we'll meet twice yearly you know
Springtime and later in Fall we will show
Both old and the new how to have a good time
But thank goodness we've now reached the end of this rhyme!

We'll see all you non-LAN'ers on Sunday night again.....
