Anyone else giggle over this?

Watching the BBC news this morning, and the main story was the parrot that died of the dreaded bird flu while in quarentine in the UK.

Now...Was it me or were all the news readers having to hold back a smirk everytime they said the phrase 'dead parrot' during the report?

It seemed that everyone involved with the report had a semi-smirk on thier faces!

...How anyone interviewed managed to resist the obvious temptation to confirm that it was indeed dead parrot and that...

''E's not pinin'! 'E's passed on! This parrot is no more! He has ceased to be! 'E's expired and gone to meet 'is maker! 'E's a stiff! Bereft of life, 'e rests in peace! If you hadn't nailed 'im to the perch 'e'd be pushing up the daisies! 'Is metabolic processes are now 'istory! 'E's off the twig! 'E's kicked the bucket, 'e's shuffled off 'is mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin' choir invisibile!! THIS IS AN EX-PARROT!!"

Ohhhh - if only someone had the nerve!
