Response to BB's comments

Folks,

I have humbly requested to both TL and to BB that BB's comments be removed for three reasons:

1. This saga is before the admins for discussion.

2. By BB using his Admin abilities by opening and closing two threads to respond he has purposely limited my opportunity for a retort. I feel that this is again in bad form as I have much to say about BB's comments yet he has not provided me the opportunity. For what reason I do not know.

3. I have been asked by OB not to comment further on this issue and to take it to the admins. He also warned that I would be banned from the forum if I did so.

So here goes what could be my final post. Apologies to OB in advance as I have no reason to aggrivate the sitution further as it is being played out in front of the admins. However I feel that I have the right to answer to my accuser.

I have humbly complied with OB's request until now but I feel that I have a right to be heard given my several attempts to have BB delete his post which include pleas to both BB and TL.

I don't recall saying such things. If I did it was a simple reaction and no offence was intended. I received your apology and I thought that was the end of it. I did not feel the need to post "thanks for the apology" or anything similar. I ALWAYS wait for an apology before making comments to TK'rs and on the odd occation I TK someone I'm always quick to apologize.

The problem I have with you using your Admin powers to open and close threads is that it does not give me the opportunity to respond. So the "public" have no idea that I disagree with you nor do they have any idea that I would have been shocked to recieve a warning from you and nor do they have any idea that I would have apologized to you on the spot if I did receive such a warning.

To be honest BB your comments have caught me off guard and I have thought long and hard about them but I do not recall swearing at you at all. The thing that is important in all of this is the perception:

- I received no warning verbally or otherwise from you (your own admission). If my comments were so bad you could have easily made noise about it at the time by logging back in or by sending me a PM here. Again I would have apologized to you directly but as none of this happened, my perception is that I have done nothing wrong nor have I offended anyone.

- Also at no point in any of OB's comments about our "incident" did he bring yours and my "aledged incident" up (I've even re-read the posts).

Your post only served to put me in a position of having to bite my tongue as I am facing a forum ban by OB if I respond further on this subject and your post also cast a bad shadow over me if I don't respond to stick up for myself and give you my side of our incident. Obviously I have chosen to stick up for myself as I believe it is correct for the community to read both sides of the story and not just yours.

Also, at what point did OB bring our aledged incident to the surface? To my knowledge he has not mentioned this at any point. By adding your comments into the fray, OB can now come back and say that he was aware of this situation when he obviously wasn't.

Even thought this could possibly damage my chances for justice and lead ultimately to a complete ban from dMw I feel I have the right to stick up for myself. I sincerely apologize (again) to OB for going against his wishes of me to keep this off the forum and over to the admins. However I have no choice. For me to sit on my hands is not my style (as if you lot needed reminding). I have said my peace and will speak no further on this subject.


Thanks to TL for remaining objective throughout all of this. Just in case this is my swan-song I wanted you to know.

Just so everyone is clear; I will not be replying to this. Ninja has had his say which is what he wanted and replying further will not change my viewpoint or his.

I am currently investigating the complaint you made to the Admins.  I am doing my best to maintain an independent view.  

You asked me in a PM yesterday if you had an opportunity to supply your side of the story - I said yes you could.  I have not yet had any such information from you.  If you plan to submit anything not already posted in the public section of these forums then please do so immediately otherwise I will reach my conclusion on the basis of the information available to me.  My intention is to post a summary conclusion on the threads concerned so that the public know the conclusion.  I would not normally do this, but you have placed this in the public domain youself, so it is fair that no party is prejudiced, hence the need for me to post.

You also asked if I would open the threads closed by Oldbloke/BlueBall to allow a right of reply.  I replied as follows:

You did not reply to this PM from me but i see that you have decided to decline this advice.

The reason that I recommended and still strongly advocate a private rather than public discussion of this matter is that minimises embarassment for all parties.  By continually posting in public forums you are maximising the air time that this matter receives.  This may yet prove to be not be a good thing for you, Oldbloke, BlueBall and certainly not for dMw.  From my perspective, I have had to take all of 'your side of the story' from forum slanging matches, this may or may not be the tactic you intended to take in this debate.

For the sake of not inflaming the already high temperatures, I will not close this thread.  But, and this comment is addressed to *all* members (including Admins), please think very carefully if you intend to post anything further - will it add value?

As BB has correctly said, I have posted my side and that is that. I await the final decision from the admins and trust that the system will provide a fair an honest judgement of the incident.

I appreciate the opportunity to air my views and did not wish to cause any further disruption.

I will accept the decision of the admins as final and hopefully I will move forward.
