as long as we make dMw squads. I think we can have fun.

Wasn't that called 'team stacking' and frowned on in days of yore?

Incidently, I left last night because it felt like a public. I'm only sorry there's no way to bid farewell. I do feel as though I'm being rude.

It is team stacking. but if we don't do it we end up in squads where there is little to no team work or comms

Last nights game sucked when pubbies started base raping and its pretty sad to see dMw guys leave their own server because of this.

Problem is if you make the server public, how do you stop people base raping? There was loads of it last night and it continued throughout the game.

I'd go for quality over quantity any day of the week, I'd rather play the dMw way than the dross we played last night (obviously not all the pubbies where). Lets face it if you like playing games like last night, theres lots of public ranked servers out there to play on.

On public ranked servers list, the number in brackets to the right of the the number of players on the server is the reserved number. This reserved number are places reserved exclusively for squad members of that clan. We could do that?

My turn:  :withstupid:

This is exactly how I feel. I, for one, would rather not see the server ending up as a baseraping-fragfiesta every time I join in. The very reason I like dMw so much is the intimate and intense fights we have, which Karkand, for instance, always deliver. Yes, dragon valley was good fun yesterday, but that was about it. When I joined the server it was on daqing oilfields, and it felt like the worst kind of ranked servers. The only base I could spawn at was the UCB, and it was getting seriously raped/bombed. Furthermore, I couldn't join a squad with dMw members as the first was full, and the other, where Blunt was the only guy, was locked. Unfortunately I think Blunt was asleep, cause he didn't see my messages ;)
I almost felt inclined to leave, but I decided to give it shot and stayed through Dragon Valley...

I think I'll vote for passworded. It's not that I don't want new members, but the way things are turning out, it's the wrong crowd anyway...

what we don't want to see by passwording the server is "Dwindling numbers on the dMw server" It's a fine line to tread.

I did end up having a good game last night (Dragon Valley). I was in a dMw squad, we had a good SL (sorry forget who) we worked together and won. So If the server is busy, as long as we make dMw squads. I think we can have fun.

We can have reserved spots. but we have so many members we would have no slots left for Joe public :)

Armitage, I was SL mate on one game, remember you where my personal taxi on the map with the pogada and woodyard, dropping me off on top of the pogada at the Vista and again on the next base.

We had a cracking match on there and I was interested to see that dMw squad on my side took top 5 or 6 places, which says a lot for the quality of our play and also for teamwork and tactics.

However the next game seemed to generate into chaos with base raping aplenty. Perhaps we could take a rough guess about how many slots we reserve, say 20 for example. Also we could have nights where its exclusively dMw. Though I'm loath to give up our fantastic dMw nights - and in all seriousness the last month we've been getting decent numbers ie 20 + so I'm not concerned with lack of numbers.

Dewey, Good Job SLing. remember the game just forgot who was SL

I think we will struggle to find new members until we get a new website telling all of the wonders of dMw if the server is passworded. but when the server is full of public fraggers it is the same as any public ranked server   conundrum.

One thing: we didn't seem to get as much public attention when the server was 32 player.

sorry mono (& everyone else who tried to join)....

at 9.00 I had to pick up tox from work in the next village.....so I created a squad, named it AFK (cos the server was v. busy & I was worried I wouldn't get on again)

I was only 10 mins and when I spawned I played for a few minutes, expecting a few joinees...I could see Lib was unsquadded and was waiting for him to join. after a while,  I invited Lib and asked him why he hadn't joined me without an invite...

he pointed out that my squad was locked...I unlocked straight away and we soon filled up.

sorry you were victim of my stupidity

I v. rarely start a squad cos I'm better as a support..so it's all a bit new to me
Regards
Blunt
