BF2 server filters not working?

Just found this on BF2 forum, this has been plaguing me for ages, looks like a real simple fix  

Look at your filters the ones that you can check and uncheck

The browser does not work when 7 or more filters are selected
ex: Battlerecorder,ranked,same version,small maps,big maps,medium maps,battlecommo are all selected you will not see any servers in your browser.

Now de select all filters so nothing is checked

Select SIX RANDOM FILTERS AND CHECK THEM

Apply filters refresh your server list and you should see them flying in now.

Can it get any more simpler than that?

Basically use only 6 filters instead of selecting all the ones you want. I don't care wich ones you use just select 6 filters of your choice.

I still have trouble searching for servers by name and I know Dewey does too. I am sure that some of you can do name searches - is this right. If so any ideas to make it work for us?

Still wish we could SEARCH for players - like we used to be able to do in 'Joint Operations'!

Click on the arrow by the servername box to sort the list by server name.

type part of the servername (meathook?) and hit enter. It should then find The Meathook. To find AAS server you could type AAS and hit enter. I haven't used this in ages as I only go to one server and its in my favourites so if it doesn't work then they have broken something that was working.

WELL...

Just more convinient if - when you are actually inside the game - to do a quick search on teh server browser for other dMw guys...

I know you have two screens so you can keep your XFire visible while you also play BF2 (fancy pants) but us one monitor guys have to alt tab to see our XFire (which can be a pain in the a*r*s*e)...

As soon as i enter anything in the Server name box and press enter the whole list goes byebye.

let the server list fully update before you search. if the list is not up to date and you search for something not yet in the list you will get a blank search or no list - i think

Me too.

However, the use less than 7 filters does work tried it last night. However the filter that says don't show full servers doesn't work for me.
