RAID RULES
(these rules have been discussed and agreed by the Officers)
  • All RG1 - raiders should be OL, MC, BWL and Naxx attuned
  • All RG2 - raiders should be OL, MC and BWL attuned
  • All Soldiers intrested in SOG - One raids should be OL and MC attuned
  • RG1 is set up by Field Marshals initially.
  • RG2 is set up by Marshals initialy.
  • SOG One & SOG 20 man raids are set up by Commanders initially.
  • Invitation should start arround 19.15 server time. Please aim to be at the raided dungeon at this time.
  • Open spots after invites are filled on class need basis.
  • Invitations are issued per class (maximum 5 per class initially or as required by raid need at Officer's discretion, if due to low attendance we invite more ppl any over the cap can be asked to make room). Please don't moan if this happens.
  • SOG One & SOG 20 man Invitations are issued based on sign up site.
  • You should meet your membership requirements (Examples: Fire Resistance, Nature Resistance, Team speak, CTraid, ideally also use the KTM threatmeter).
  • All raiders should start the raid at 100% durability. Anyone with durability of less than 90% will be asked to either repair or to make way for another member who already meets the Guild raiding spec.
  • If your class needs reagents then you should come to the raid with a reasonable supply. This is usually assumed to be a minimum of 20 Arcane Powder/Shards/Candles etc. If you have insufficient reagents you will be asked to obtain some or to give up your raid place for someone who has the reagents and meets the raiding spec.
  • When raiding a dungeon requiring special items, please make sure you take those out of the bank (AQ mounts, Aqual/Ethernal Quintessence, Ony neck, etc).
  • Going AFK without telling an raidleader will result in a kick after 5 minutes.
  • Going AFK with telling an raidleader might result in the AFK period beeing extended to 15 minutes.
  • Going AFK just before or during a boss fight is not acceptable and will result in an instant kick.
  • If no raidleader was told you are AFK, you are asumed to be ready, ready checks might happen at key moments, but dont count on them to show raidleaders you are AFK.
  • Short breaks will be provided by raidleaders for bio and drinks.
  • If the order to repair is given failure to repair in 10 minutes after the command has been given will result in a kick.
  • Whisper a raidleader (and gain an acknowledgement) if you need to expect to have to leave before the end of the raid.
  • Join your class channel by typing for example: "/channel SoGMages". The channels are: SoGMages, SoGPriests, SoGWarriors, SoGDruids, SoGWarlocks, SoGRogues, SoGPaladins and SoGHunters.
  • It is not allowed to switch places with other members in the raid for loot from a specific boss.
  • Each Raid relies heavily on the overall quality of raid members equipment. With this in mind a raid member must have at least 4 pieces of Tier 1 epic armor before being allowed to take a Tier 2 epic set item (Ragnaros and Onyxia drops are excepted from this rule). This is to stop people saving their DKP to jump straight from their rare Blue set to Tier 2 set items to the detriment of their fellow raid members.
The officers have discussed about letting alts into MC for the picking up of the Ancient leaf and Eye of Divinity before. We now feel its time to expand this a bit and allow alts to attend MC / OL. There will be some parameters to make sure it doesnt afflict the raid too much:
  • There will be a limit on the ammount of alts that are allowed in a raid (this is set at a max of 5 for this moment, depending on raid size. fe. 36 man raid allows 1 alt, 40 man allows all 5), and at special runs (speed etc) alts will not be allowed.
  • At this time alts will only be allowed in OL and MC, if due to class balance alts are asked to stay they are not eligiable for loot that drops.
  • In the event that an alt and a RG-main want the same item, the main wil get the item disregarding DKP. This does not mean that mains should grab everything.
  • Alts will use the DKP of the players main (If your alt is actively used after this post the DKP of the alt will be converted to main in hindsight).
  • After the raid is formed there will be a window of time where ppl can whisper a officer to be considerd for the alt spots that week, there will then be a roll for who gets the alt raid spot. Alts wanting to participate must be able to quickly make it to the instance.
  • In order for the alt to be accepted into this system the main must have at least 6 tier 1 or equal/better pieces and preferably the full set.
  • For certain fights you might be asked to relog your main (fe. Locks in garr fight, mages in domo fight)

As people know we were working on a loot system.
Atm we dont think the dkp system will work cause a lot of people have the loot and lately ZG has not been done in a very good way (not enough people showing up, now that AQ is open people want to go there (thats logical ofc)). We decided to freeze the system and we decided with the officers that there will be a loot list with class prioritys. We are working on that atm. So it will follow soon. Another thing are the bijous and the coins. We liked the idea which is implemented in AQ 20 and we will be using that soon. This means that the bijous and coins will be send to Zgbank and who has the rep and the primal hakkari item can whisper me (lunares) to see if we have the other mats that are needed for them and they get them.
Also we think its needed that there will be some general rules for ZG. These are posted in the post below. If people want to have them changed whisper me, dajo, opticalrush or kregoron and we will discuss it and act to that.

The general rules for ZG runs

Some general rules concerning ZG

A note on the rules. They may sound unfair however they are here to help the raid if you do not agree on the rules plz post it on the forums and we (dajo kregoron, opticalrush or lunares) will look into it or the officers.

First of all have fun thats why you play

Guild run: A guild run is where more then 90% of the members are guildmembers.
When its a guild run the bloodvine and souldarite will go to the guild bank. However only members who actually go to ZG may take them from the bank.

We allways will try to get a balanced group with guildmembers. If this is not possible we will ask the guildmembers in the group if they have friends who would like to join or we try to invites people who have applied so we get to know each other.

The ring sets:
If you have a ring set you have priority on the other 1.
If you have 1 ring of a certain set don't roll on a ring of another set.
If more then 1 member has the other ring they will roll for it.

The ML can give a certain class piority on loot. However this must be approved by more 50% of the raid.

If there is a discussion about the loot the ML, raidleader and some officers (if they are there ) will decide what happens with the loot.

The Raidleader will say in which order we take the bosses follow him and dont start an argument. he/she will try his best looking at the balance and classes that are there.

If its a guild raid the same rules apply as if it was a normal raid this means if you leave without warning or go afk without telling or a good reason you can get kicked!!!

People can be asked to leave based on need of certain classes. This will be asked in a polite way and the classmembers may discuss who will go of them if no one will go voluntary the last one of the class who joined will be asked to leave and if he/she refuses will be kicked. Ofcourse we will try to prevent it from happening and we will warn those who may be kicked before they get an invite.

The raid is a chance for alts to get loot also so they have equal rights. This rule can be overuled by the ML and RL.

If we notice that people are here for a certain boss and do not care about helping the rest also they can be kicked from the raid.

If a Zg run will take place in 2 runs (1st day the first bosses the 2nd day the rest) then those who where in the 1st run get priority in the 2nd run. If there are still places left then they will we filled according to need.

People who have the needed rep for an item will get priority if their primal hakkari epic part drops.

If 1 of the epics mounts should drop it will be a greed roll. There is no discussion possible for this.

SOG One - One Raid for One Guild:
The Field Marshalls are pleased to announce their plans for Molten Core raiding.
  • The Guild will operate weekly raids to Molten Core each Wednesday evening, invites as usual at 19.15.
  • The MC raids will be open to both mains and alts and to the whole Guild irrespective of membership type.
  • The MC raids will be operated by the Commanders.
  • MC raid places will be booked via a booking system like the current 20s booking system.
  • Commanders will approve an appropriate class balance and spread of quality prior to each raid to give the raid a reasonable chance of success, as well as rotating those in each class to give everyone a chance to attend.
  • The run would not be open to RG2 mains in a week in which MC was on the RG2 schedule. Commanders will not approve RG2 mains to raid in such weeks, although alts are of course eligible.
  • A rep-based system similar to ZG is to be used, although set at a much lower level. This will reward attendance with a better opportunity to get Epic loot. This would not use or earn DKP, thus having zero impact on the current DKP standings. Setting the required rep levels at Friendly for Mains and Honoured for Alts should mean it is not too difficult to achieve for any character as reputation is gained so quickly in MC.
  • Legendary items - these will be prioritised to RG1 & RG2 mains and would have the attendant DKP cost where a main took the item as in these cases the Guild would be likely to support the cost of materials etc. For set items (like Bindings) priority goes to those who already hold one of the set items. Where a legendary item goes to a non-RG1/2 main then there would be no DKP cost and Guild Bank would not subiside the legendary item being crafted.
  • All non-epic drops go to Guild Bank to help cashflow. All BOE epics where nobody Need rolls will also go to Guild Bank.
  • All BOP recipes/patterns are given to a Field Marshall first, then a Marshall, then a Commander as first choice. Where none are present or none need the recipe it would be an open roll to those in the raid.

#5
The Commanders have lately been working on new loot systems for both AQ and ZG. The ZG system we have been trialling for the last couple of weeks is a sort of proof of concept for the proposed new system. The ZG trial system is based on reputation levels to measure attendance. However, as AQ rep can be farmed outside of the instance, actual attendance must be measured.

Our goals were to improve over the old system in the following ways:
  • Reward the most frequent raiders with priorities on certain loot.
  • Give alt characters a chance to obtain epic loot, while still giving a small priority to main characters.
  • Ensure rare recipes stay within the guild.
  • Encourage signups to open up the possibility for a second concurrent raid group.
The Basics of the System

The principle is the same as the ZG trial system; a main character has to do x amount of raids before they can get priority, and a alt character has to do x+y amount of raids before they can get an equal priority on epic loot. With roughly 3k rep per ZG clearance, that means a main must raid ZG 3 times, and an alt 7 times before being able to get epic loot priority.

Attendance Points
  • For someone to sign up, they get one "attendance point" (AP).
  • If they enter the instance, they receive a second AP.
  • A final point value between 0 and 1 will be awarded according to the proportion of the raid that the person attends.
Three complete raids would give 9 attendance points, and seven would give 21. These are the required attendance points for mains and alts to get priority on epic loot.
Attendance points are unique for each instance, i.e. having 21 attendance points in ZG does not get you loot priority in AQ also.
If people are not available after joining the queue and not cancelling, their signup will be cancelled. Please remain contactable while waiting in the queue and let us know if you are on a non-guild alt.

Specific Loot Rules

ZG/AQ Quest Item Loot
People with required reputation for the loot get priority for the items.

ZG Trinket
Priority given to people according to who has the most number of trinket parts.
If no one has any other trinket parts, priority is given based to people with AP values of: 40 > 20 > 10 > 5 - this is roughly equivalent to what AP would be achieved at the reputation levels.

ZG Enchant
These are 20 AP for first, 40 AP for second. To be able to roll you MUST have the item you want enchanted. If no1 is Revered/Exhalted a second roll will be called for.

AQ20 Skill Books
People within 6 AP of the top person who needs the book may roll for it.
People who are not in the raid may request skill books from AQBank at any time, as long as they have 10 AP.

Recipes/Plans/Schematics/etc
First drop will be assigned to a member of the raid of Commander or higher rank in the guild.
Subsequent drops are open to all.

Epic Items
Mains with 9 attendance points and alts with 21 attendance points are given first priority. After that, open to all.

Blue Items
No priorities given, open to all.

Items will not be given class priorities (other than what is already specified in the item descriptions), however if such a situation as a rogue wanting a +healing cloak arises, exceptions can be made by the raid leaders.
