CD Autoplay issues

Ever since I installed and uninstalled Virtual CD 5 (came on a PC PRO cover disk) Autoplay has not worked. It ignores any options I select under the CD-Rom properties.

Also after reinstalling the CD driver,  inserting a CD always opens it in windows explorer, still ignoring what options I have set.

Anybody had this problem?

I also tried looking under system policies and the registry as suggested on a website, but it seams to be already set for autoplay to work.
