Padding

Lately there seem to be a tendency for people to respec their character without asking us. Naturally we dont decide what build people should use but we expect the raid to have a lot of the important specs for us to proceed in the dungeons we want to proceed in.

Lately opticalrush, voretex amongst others have specced to a build that might not be to our raids advantage. I have my opinion about it, and the other officers might think something else.

I think we should discuss what we want the 6 guardians we have in each class to be like and get the best mix for the classes. Personally i dont think we can get as far as we want if all respec to pvp.

I think build problems can hurt us.  A druid without inverevate is a problem for example in some of our fights.

Yes we should think about whether or not to ask people to respec for raid benefit (RG1).

Whether or not this is something I would be prepared to ask a member to do would depend on the case.  Not sure how to describe things any better than that :(

Padding strikes back with one of his old mantras... specc specc specc

Am i really the only one getting the fealing that we would progress faster if people would actually be PVE specced

I nicked this from Anything's website, as it pretty much sums up what i REALLY think we should consider impose on ALL RG1 members

Class      Need      Requirements
Druid      Low    31+ restoration, innervate required
Hunter     Low    31+ Marks or 31+ Survival required.
Mage     Low    Frost/Arcane or Arcane/Frost, +150 in dmg gear.
Paladin  Low    Divine Favor + Illumination 5 Required.
Priest      Low    No Shadow.
Rogue   Low    Should have heartseeker+ primary. 70FR unbuffed.
Warlock Low    +150 in dmg gear.
Warrior Low    17 prot required. 340 (post-nerf) defense required. 70FR unbuffed.

As I know TANGO all about too many classes I'd be happy to support something like this.  The only thing is how to introduce it.  For RG1 we could require it, should we require it for RG2?  Worth some more discussion, maybe on TS?

I would like to not set such strict rules and rather just count on our own judgement when recruiting and if absolutely necessary, enforce the "force respec" rule that we have more on our current members.

TeaLeaf

Then let's ask for a respec on those who do not meet our criteria.

But that brings us back to what is our criteria.  Discuss.

well the innervate is the only thing i could figure out that would be good to have and that will be made availible to all druids in next patch. so i dont really see much of a point in forcing specs tbh.

Tanks?  I need others input here as I do not know enough about tank specs to say why someone should be prot spec rather than say 'flower' spec.  Teach me, but I hear lots of comments from healers and others about it - so what gives?  How about Mages as well?  We know what we need now and it is not fire, the future maybe fire, but we're not there yet.  And there must be other classes where we have similar questions.  Not got improved Mark of the Wild?  Why not?  Etc.

Vargen dont even have improved MOTW

for rogues all specs are equal,
for hunters beastmaster isnt that swell for MC, but we dont have any of em,
for mages frost is kinda a must, with arcane at least untill 1.11, after that you can pritty much get the best from both fire/frost trees,
for druids innervate is nice, at least till it gets given too all in 1.11
for paladin holy spec is good, but other specs work (teni was raiding w/ a retribution spec)
for priest 31/20 or 20/31 would be preferd, no shadow (we dont have)
for warlock demon build would be nice, but other versions are nice too, asheera has a bit demon and that works.
for warrior 17 points prot would be nice, but opti and dajo can do a decent tanking w/ a arms/fury build.

Re Warlocks - Asheera is *way* up the aggro list all the time, Jantore tells me this is because he does not have DM(?didn't understand that bit and it could have been a typo).  Should we force this issue (once we know what it is) as Ash was a major contributing factor to two of the wipes on Firemaw this week as his aggro exceeded the tanks.

Re the tanks - can they really tank well with those specs?  If they can tank well then why do they not want the repair bill of tanking?  Because they die more than usual?  Why do they die more than usual if they can tank real well in that spec?  Does it affect the healers by having a non-prot spec warrior doing the tanking?
