The DNS changes for dkp.silveroakguardians.org have been kicked off to point at 87.240.138.27.

Apache is being configured.  Should have access by tonight.

I checked the Admin panel already and there is no backup facility.  Let's hope they are happy to send us a copy of the database.

IN the mean time I have grabbed a visual copy of *everything* so if the shit hits the fan NOW then we'll be ok.  I have copied every raid, every item drop, standings, raid history, item values etc.  

At least this takes the pressure off Tanales for putting the new system in place.

Btw I posted an 'advance warning' for Menedil & Lunares about our forthcoming changes and noted that the Guild things we bring online might well supercede what they are doing.  

I think it is really important that we do NOT have two systems to run things within the guild, particularly where the ZG/AQ runs are already quasi-official unofficial raids.  Things need to be managed in-house as part of our web/forum system and therefore I think we need to spend some time discussing how best to accomplish this.

if we make a sign up system they can use it for ZG/AQ? shouldnt be to hard to set up some more ppl that can setup raids in that system.

If the sign up system is implemented for the full raids then it is a very easy matter to set up raids for 20 man instances.

I really dont like the web based sign-up system for various reasons:

1. It favorises the persons that are online at the right moment
2. There is no guarantee that persons who signed up are actually online at the right time

Personally i like the system we are running today where the people online are the people who actually gets in the raids, and with our controlled amount of people, that seems to work fine

If we control it, it's our choice.  We can decide what we need or not need.  With RG2 the problems you describe might be more evident.  RG1 may show  fewer problems I am guessing as we have fewer surplus members.  At the end of the day it is up to us to say how we use any raid sign up system, it need not necessarily be for the actual raid slots, we could use it as an attendance predictor for example!

on the discussion of the DKP cant we just half the incoming dkp for ppl? i just did some math and incoming is 1.917 times to high to make in=out. should be pritty eazy to make the master dkp list devide everything by 2?
