Match squads

Folks.......

We ....as in ALL involved in matches are currently working our butts off to keep dMw's flag flying in competitive matches .... but the folks turning up now and making themselves available for matches is dwindling VERY fast ... tonight we had 2 matches ....with 1/2 an hour to go before the one at 19.30 we had 5 on server ...GOOD JOB THEY WERE ALL CHARLIES !!!!!!!!!

for the 21.00 match we had 6 on server ...AGAIN ALL CHARLIES .......

Now it would be a shame to have to have to call off the match scene again .... as I think we have a good spirit in the guys who turn up week in week out ... we need

i) more folks on to practice against before matches
ii) more folks who put themselves down as avail. ..ACTUALLY turning up

myself and the other guys dedicate A LOT of time in this venture ...and would appreciate some support, we have been looking into this SGL league ... but TBH I dont see the point in registering and giving default wins to others 'cos we cant get a squad ... if there is so little interest please let me know so I, and the other admins dont waste our valuable time .....

You raise a very valid point there, please don't put yourself down as available if your not going to turn up. It would be better to put down a maybe. At least then the SL knows how many people will be there for the match before hand, rather than running round trying to phone people at the last minute.

I have played a total of 1 hour and 15 minutes of CS in my entire life which has been a mixed experience... for those around me

I tend to do stupid things, being a noob. If people can live with that I don't mind being gun fodder for your practise sessions.

That said I would like to be able to attend some sort of practise which focuses on the tactics you use, showing me spots to be aware of, what guns are the best, good ways to set up keys etc. Some sort of a rookie course. Maybe one of you would care to give me a crash course at the LAN? Instead of me just running around here and there doing stupid things...

Hopefully someone will give you some tuition on the finer points m8 ... there are plenty of guys there who know what they are talking about ...

Delan, I'll show you how and what at the LAN.
I couldn't make last night, soz. Worked untill 9 in the evening, then went to King and visited a m8 to sort stuff out for the LAN. Got home around 9.45 and was to tired to start up my comp.
I'm working alot lately and due to that I can't make alot of matches. Will see what I can arange though.

I always update my avail.

But as you maybe have seen the last few weeks i am as a maybe or unavail.

That all because i have to much on my mind and to much to do in a little time.

I still play CZ but just to do something else for an hour and then it is back to work...

I hope it will change soon and that i can back you guys up again with matches but you just have to do it without me for some time....

The matches before 8 are too early for me so that limits my availability by half, coupled with the odd turn of being on 24hr call and wanting to watch the remaining english team in Europe play, means I haven't been avail for a few matches now.

I try to keep my avail up to date, but sometimes matches seem to spring up quite fast - completely missed the two the other night, sorry (was at work until past 9 anyway

). An automated post on the forum saying a new match has been added would be nice (apologies if there is one that I am not noticing!

I'f I'm at home I usually leave xfire running, but I'm afraid my attendance (slim as it may be!) will wane further as my workload increases over the next few months :ph34r:

Some clans take forever to accept challenges, we dont put them on avail until they are definate. ED being down didn't help the situation.

It would be nice to see a few more people on.
