Firstly, I'd like to apologise to those who didnt get into the raid tonight, 30 people just wont fit into a 20 man instance, I tried to choose who to take fairly, and some of you didnt agree with how I did it. Which leads me onto the next point.

After the raid Lunares, Kregoron and myself had a dicussion on several issues including invites systems. The result is, from a week Friday (28th April)  we will be trialling a new web-based raid signup system.

This is available at http://sograid.cookiez.co.uk and instructions on how to sign up for the scheduled raid are written up there under the announcements heading. Because we are just starting this system raid signups will be available from now until one hour before the raid, in the future expect the window you can sign up in to be shorter. The time that signups are open will be announced beforehand and we will try make this a time which is accessible to all. Please post here any problems or comments you have. Signups for the first raid are now awailable.

Secondly, we're going to start prioriitising the quest item drops in AQ20 to people that already have the required reputation to use it. If no one has the reputation, it will be open to roll for all.

And finally, I'm sure all of want to take down Ossirian, but until we do actually manage to take him down, we'd like to avoid taking alts for Ossirian as usually the quality of gear is less etc, basically for the same reason we cant take alts to BWL. Of course, if your alt is better geared then your main, we may be able to make an exception :)

On behalf of Lunares, Kregoron and myself I'd like to thank everyone for their time and effort spent so far on making the succesful 20 man instance runs that we've been having lately!

Marduk

First of all, you guys have gotten a lot of naggers winners and other sorts of people  who dindt agree, TANGO em
your doing a great job, and keep it up, everybody makes mistakes sometimes or a disicion that not everybody agrees on

i really like this new system tho, menedil has showed it to me b4 and had me sign up for a AQ20 raid to try it out, and it really worked nicely i would say

i just hope we can keep ZG/AQ seperated, say i dont join ZG raids that i somehow cant get into AQ either seeing as i am severly allergic to ZG and id like to do other stuff then wow sometimes to ( not suggesting i have an actual real life )

so, keep up the good work and i hope this new system works out!

I just registered at the signup forum and tested it out a bit, and I just have to say that this seems like a good idea :)

:worship: Menedil, Lunares and Kregoron

Great work folks!!

PS: Could any of the forum admins perhaps add the link to the signup forum in the same way as the link to the DKP site is (so that it appears as a separate "sub forum")?

I absolutely do not wish to raid on anyone's parade and whilst the effort is appreciated and the problems understood, please be aware that the Officers are discussing a Guild system that would supercede this.  The recent DKP issues have delayed this slightly, but the server hosting the 'package' is already up and running.

I really like this idea. Keep it up Kreg, Mene and Luna!

Thanks for the support :)

And Teaelle, I know, but the impression I got was that the package wasnt definately going to be implemented and if it was, not for a little while at least. Until that is set up, this can serve the unofficial 20-man raids, and I wont have minded wasting the 5 mins that it took me to install it :)

You could even say its a test run for a larger scale implementation :P

Looks good. Already created a user account  :D

Might I suggest a nice in-game mod for easy creation of raids. I have used this in DD succesfully for making raids for ZG.

This mod allows raid leaders to create raid schedules, the maximum number of needed people, the maximum number of each class needed, automatic queueing of people and automatic group invites at start of a raid. All this is done in-game and does require everyone who wants to participate to have this mod installed.

Can't hurt to check it out Guild Event Manager, on curse-gaming.com

Hey neb, I looked at it, but I was thought a web-based version would be better as not everyone had to install something, just us. Also, you can sign up from any computer, anywhere, as long as it has internet access to a web system.

A similar style addon that interfaced with the phpRaid system would be rather nice though :D

Nebuoh

Aye an advantage of a web based would indeed be that everyone can log on to it from anywhere, but people might forget and the mod in-game would always show all available raids and would always be available.

Anyways, I am happy with any system that would set up a raiding system.

Well the propblem is tha we have a few people who wont have anymore addons in than the most needed.. so by using GEM we would lock them out, thats the reason we havent chosen to use addons.. :)

Not bad, but if i may be the first to complain: How is it any diffrent from the normal "who types invite fastest"? people just rush to the page and type it there at the announced time, Instead of pming the inviter. In my eye's its nothing diffrent.

Apologies for harsh language in my posts, just saying what i think. Snowstormer, 60 mage.

I love bloodlord mandorkir.

Menedil

true, but at least this way people wont get angry because they turn up at AQ20, expecting a spot in the raid, and then not get it.

If you have a better solution we'd love to hear it :)

Menedil

One thing about this first time on the system, if youve only just found out about it, you're probably behind the people who knew about it last night. In the future we will announce when signups will be open from, which would be more fair. Maybe we should have given a "practice signup" raid, and then open the actual signups for the raid sometime next week.
