Another first competitive play of this map tonight.  It played a lot better than I thought for such a small game space, but there are definitely some issues that came up almost straight away.  

A couple of Ts were shot practically in spawn by CTs dropping down to the lowest level - as in all maps in PCS, this is unacceptable and I will probably add a map limit here to reflect the injustice of being mown down in spawn  :oops:  

Secondly, if the CTs take to camping the cockpit and the vents then this map becomes a real frag-fest.  I know I came up into the vent under the cockpit at one point and found not one, not two, but three CTs lined up in the vent all waiting for a shot at the Ts below.  I got the first two, but the third one got me  :(   I don't really know how to solve this particular situation though, I'll need to have a think.......any suggestions?

Otherwise I didn't think that the map was bad at all, in fact I enjoyed it!

Very very poor map, over 20 times i tried buy armor and end up with none, in the end i agve up and left.

Poorly made map imho.

Here's a thought......

CT's are not allowed past the green packing case about a third of the way down the cargo deck. This allows T's to leave spawn by the upper route without being a target.

CT's are allowed the entire length of the 2nd class deck but not through the doors to the cargo hold nor into any of the toilets.

CT's are not allowed into the upper gantry at all. (Not sure about this.) If the do go up, they are able shoot the whole length of the upper ganty which is a bit hard on the T's.

CT's are not allowed into the cockpit except to defuse the bomb or if a T has entered the cockpit first. They can shunt the door open to look in as much as they want. (Maybe you could allow one CT only at a time in the cockpit?)

Still not sure about this map, Its going to be really hard to set boundries for this one. I agree with the shouldn't die in spawn thing though. Its very fast and frantic and seems to end up becoming more like a standard deathmatch. And if I wanted fast and frantic deathmatch there are better maps than this out there for that.

Yeah, everything depends on getting the boundaries right. Mine are just a quick stab at them.

Allowing the T's to get set for an attack from several points is the key here. Boundaries should allow CT's to cover the bomb site but still allow T's to hit it from sevaral directions, and/or to use diversionary tactics. The boundaries should encourage CT's to move away from the bomb site so they don't camp it every time. The map is still good for mad rushes now and then. But it's the PCS nature of T's setting up the assault and CT's getting everyone into position to counter the attack that may give it legs. If it's played death match then GFK is right it's not that good a map. (Speedball would be the ultimate deathmatch map)

Think you got that the wrong way round. Its the cts that cover the bomb sites.

Yah Speedball!! I still think this should be on the server for some mindless fun. Good way of getting your adrenalin going before a match!!

The idea for this map was good but it has it's bugs (armour) and has it's flaws (line of sight almost the entire length of the map) and so I don't think it suitable for PCS style of play.

No reason why it can't stay on the server for the odd break in PCS play, but not for the rotation in my opinion.

I like thios map, should be a laugh as long as the CT's don't get Cheeeeez and camp the one end of the plane to badly. May be a bugger with too many peeps though.

The breaking floor/roof tiles are a nice touch
