I think we should consider taking in a Warlock as an officer since we sometimes need to discuss the problems/solutions with Warlocks and we dont have the necessary knowledge about it.

This has been discussed a lot of times, but im taking it up on the forums now since it seems to be staying at the talk.

If we assume that the person needs to be one that raids a lot and is in RG1, the only possible candidates are:

Asheera
Neff
Jantore
Strontiumdog
Basilisk
Sunil

I dont think there is a clear candidate tho, but i dont know them all too well.

Well, what do you think?

Bastet

tbh i dont think any of the listed candidates make for a very good officer. and as far as i know we decided a while back to make sure that we had a good candidate rather then appointing one just to have one appointed, but on this topic i think its time we started thinking about working some1 (or several) from raidgroup 2 up to start leading RG2 and eventualy promote a few up to officer and give them the needed rights for everything

note i aint saying we need to do this now, but we need to start thinking about candidates and give them some chance to have them trail lead a MC run (or even a bit of a MC run)

Tanales

sazgul pops in mind as he was the NG guild master or atleast high ranked there,
or maybe some of our older members that are defenders and raiding.

I totally agree on the RG2 leading, its not that we in RG1 are deserting them, but going forward we cant keep leading the raids as it will drain our powers i think. I dont necessarily think that the RG2 leaders needs to be officers, but thats just me. Think about Luna, Kregoron and Menedil. They are running AQ/ZG runs and doing a REAL good job, and they are not officers

Bastet

i am not saying that they wont do a good job if there not officers but there is a bit more involved then with said ZG / AQ runs, namely that there also is the issue of guildbanking and more important DKP admin rights, TS admin rights and handing out of 100s of gold in the form of armor in potions. Also use of officers chat helps a lot w/ certain questions about raid (see how much we use it imao). it would be best to have an officer to do all that

edit the reson i think we need to sign over control to RG2 is if we need/want another raid day, or that RG2 needs/wants another raid day we cant allow for it too much in the current setup due too us having to lead there, in the mid to long therm it needs to be under thier control but w/ strong ties to the officer core to make sure that we dont get a tear in the guild (see SC/COC/Righteous)

None of the names mentioned currently stand out as ideal for the role of officer, so I too will run with the 'quality' before 'class' argument.

Re RG2 yes I see us having to promote people to fill those roles and to lead RG2.  Unfortunately, unless someone cuts and pastes all DKP via MSN or the forums for Kreuz (or whomever) to update alongside RG1 DKP in real time, then I suspect we will either need a current Officer in RG2 or to promote someone to that role and I think that this may be some weeks away before we (1) find the right person and (2) have known them long enough to be comfortable with them.

Perhaps the best thing to do might be to post in the member section that we are looking for RG2 raid leaders or raid officers to emerge from the ranks.  Ask whomever is interested send a PM confirming that they are (1) able to attend the raids at close to 100% attendance and (2) that they want to invest the time in learning what needs to be done in MC.

The other thing to do is to use RG2 as a rank:  so create a rank of RG2 Raid Leader and appoint a small group of people to it to run it (say 5).  Give them all access to DKP, make them join a /sogrg2rl channel (so they do not have to be in Officer's channel), create an RG2 RL channel for them on these forums in which to post an ddebate things.  They can request pots etc from Guildybankee as normal and greens/blues can go back to Guildybankee as usual with Cores, DI etc going to Moneybagz as usual.  Not perfect but at the end of the day we need someone to step up to the plate if we want them to run their own raids!

Wel I would like the raid leadrs of RG2 to become officers. We have grovn and leading a 40man raid deserves some recognition of the woork they puttinn.Pluss this wil bind them closer to uss ,and give them freedom to raid more / and when it is more convenient for them.

We exspanded the guild , lets see if we cant make room fore some more to handle the exspanded dillemas that came with it.

PS : The promote a Warlock sugestion on TS was just a joke ( HS in silithus makes fo longe comutes when I'm raiding :/ ). Tho having a TAXI would be nice :narnar:

as  for a number of ppl too be promoted. letts get 3 whitout a life for starters, then let them choose 2 more  hvo they tink would be helpfull to have with them.
