I'd just like to thank all those who not only attended tonight, but all those who showed a will to make progress and signed up :).

Ossirian went down on our 4th attempt tonight with not very much trouble, proving that we CAN do him!

Repair bill contributions from AQBank have been sent, if you havent received yours, please let me know here and I'll sort it asap :)

Great job guys, lets hope this is just the first of many kills :)

I died right at the very beginning of the fight. Get in!

Mazii

Btw, did anybody fraps the kill?

And another thing that I found quite interesting. The first 3 attempts we wiped at 90% and the 4th try we get him down without any problems at all and only 3 dead people who all died at about 90%.

Keep it up, and lets see RG1 and RG2 progress in 40man instances!

Bob

This was actually my first "real" AQ run, and I can't say anything else than I had a great time - it's always nice with a first kill :)  And the feeling that you help our your guildies with something that has been strived for for a long time, makes it even better :D

Here are some screenies from the folks who were there:

Nice one Vargen. Wish my computer could run the same gfx :(

I have to say that the tricky bit is the initial pull.  Once you get the transition into the crystal > crystal bit of the fight then it goes relatively easy.

DOT damage worked great, I spent most of my time 60% or so decursing, then firing in damage in the gaps between the AOE curses.  Had no aggro problems whatever throughout the fight.

The tactic that really made it  for us though I reckon was putting Vargen and Bastet in their own 2 person party within the raid.  This meant Bastet coudl scout for the next crystal and Vargen just had to activate one crystal and then run off towards his party member showing on the mini-map.  It also helped that NOBODY else clicked ont he mini-map.  ALL three of the wipes we had at the start were down to multiple clicks spolitting the raid group and sending it in different directions.

We know this boss now, we will now OWN it.  Ossirian is a normal clearance and I expect we will do a total clearance of AQ20 EVERY week now

Great job everyone

You just CANNOT beat a 'first boss kill' buzz :D
