I had a chat to Vargen about this and I admitted that my thinking has changed.

In order that we encourage members to swap into RG2 for the night then I believe we now need to give them the ability to bid on loot.  Most of the people swapping do not have great need, but they are maybe waiting for one or two specific pieces.  I think those lost pieces to RG2 are outweighed by the loot the RG2 members would pick up in a normal RG1 MC run.

I say give RG1 members the ability to bid for loot dropped in an RG2 raid.  What say you?

I thought the people swapping over were originally characters that already had the loot that they needed from MC? If they are, they shouldn't need to bid.

In which case you may have voted 'no' to answer a question I did not mean to imply or ask.

Clearly if they are not needing loot then they will not bi don loot.  Therefore why deny them anyway?

What I meant was, people ar enot swapping over because (a) it takes 2 nights instead of 1 and also because they know that it that rare drop comes along they will not be able to bid on it.

My question was more geared to those whom we let swap who are 'almost' done.  Should we stop them swapping or encourage them?  Otherwise (and pushign the example to the extreme) nobody wanting the Legendary drop would ever go to RG2 - and that outcome is daft.  By definition all RG1 members in RG2 are pretty much done anyway, so what difference does it make to allow them to bid on any loot drops?  IF their specific missing item of need drops then good luck to them, let them bid.  Why rule them out?  As far as our experience has shown to date we will not get members swapping if we do not let them bid on loot.  But as the amoutn of loot they need is relatively small it should not make any difference to RG2 as they will still be by far the major benefactors in the raid.

That was where I was coming from.

did vote yet, but what if we get 2 of a class that are almost done, and the items they want drop, then they would prob nick all the class items that drop for that class that week. on the otherhand what you say is also valid, ill think about it a bit

Well, im all for bidding in genereal (so we get people to spend their DKP) but i think RG2 should have loot priority in RG2 raids and since RG1 people have way more DKP than the other, im not sure they should be able to bid for it

Thats why im not vothing at this point, since im not 100% sure
