RG1 Speed Run

I would very much like us to do an official RG1 speed run in MC. Just for the fun of it. Can we agree to do one in say 2 weeks to give every one a chance to be there and for us to have our best people there with our best kit on and loaded with potions.

My target is to have the instance cleared in less than 2 hours. So, what's the *ideal* list of potions we would want people to have?

Flask of Distilled Wisdom
For healers for an extra 2,000 mana

Flask of Supreme Power
For DPS casters - would this create an aggro problem for us?

Magic Resistance potions
For extra resistance during some boss fights

For melee
Mongoose Potions

Elixir of Shadow power
Greater Arcane Elixir

Greater Arcane Protection potion (for tank for Shazzrah)
Greater Fire Protection potion (1 or 2 per person?)

Major Healing Potions
Major Mana Potions
Heavy Runecloth Bandages

Major Troll's Blood potion
Mageblood potion

Brilliant Wizard Oil
Brilliant Mana Oil

Flask of Titans? (4)
For tanks. We usually do not suffer from problems here, but is it needed to give us a buffer for mistakes?

Anything else we hsould have? I can't remember the names of the various things you can eat that give you extra spirit and stamina etc, but can someone post them if they remember?

Possible dates: anyone got any suggestions? We have a small event called the world cup going on between 9th June and 9th July, so I reckon we either go for it beforehand, or after. I'd like to do it beforehand, but does anyone have any preferred dates?

Could do - I would like to push the start time back to say 20:00 server time to make sure everyone is ready.

I would also like to use the sign up system for it to confirm we will have enough people and to allow us to check availability.

Ok Thursday is now a no go due to Ragnarh being unavailable. I want Ragnarh in on the speed run and think we should defer. What about pushing it back a week?

How about using the website Tanales set up to get members to sign up to confirm availability? We could then pick the squad in advance.

I wold also like some time to prepare the list of pots mentioned per class and set out what we expect peopel to bring along with them.

Tactics, I think we are ok on those, but I may try to write them out just to prepare the shortcuts.

What say you?

well i was gonne say we have ample MT's for us to do it w/o ragnarh, but it appears the run is allready canceld anyway now

We could surely do it without Ragnarh, but i dont want to. This event is going to be real fun, and something we are going to remember for a long time. The event should therefor consist of the people who helped down Molten Core from the beginning and that *certainly* consists of Mr. Ragnarh

I hereby cast my vote to move the event to thursday the 8th of June, and i think we should get the signup website to control whoever joins so we are sure that the people joining are dedicated and ready
