I played a few hours of that last night. The bots are a bit easy, but they are usually twice as many in their side to make up. They are easy kills but still good fun!

If you don't elect a commander you will still get orders if you are SL. They are good hints, i.e. if he orders defence here and there it is a good sign you are about to loose that base.

Anyone know the command to turn autobalance on? That might make the bots even the sides a bit?
I do exactly what the little voices tell me to.

PC Specs:- Black box with some fans that go whirrr, a few lights, things inside that get warm, headphones, keyboard (a clicky one), mouse (with buttons and no squeak), disks (2-off SSD and HDD) and a monitor of sufficient proportions.

In BF2CC, it's the icon below the menu bar that looks like a yin-yang symbol.  Don't know how to toggle it from RCON though.
I didn't think it worked with the bots, but then I'd only done limited testing.

One more thing - I don't think the comms part has been enabled.

Last time i tried COOP the boots used the "commands" from 16 player maps on 64 player maps. Only moving, spawning, attacking and defending the places thats on the 16player maps. So i just flew around them :b

If you put the bots up to a higher level, you'll find them deadly accurate and far more challenging. I've played against them in practices and if you put a few players on their side, ie one to be commander (they suck at this) and another to be a SL so you can order them about its far more challenging.

Alternatively you can just hav players on either side and have the rest as bots - you'll be amazed how accurate they are though  :D

Have you bf2 admins figured out how to control bots via the bf2cc client?

Turning on autobalance has the annoying effect of splitting up human players (the autobalance feature does not differentiate between human or bots) so leaving this off would be the most fun imho - but some kind of balancing would be nice, and if admins could adjust the number of bots on the fly it would be great imho...

Sn00ks and Arm could not get it to work at the time I asked and I was just curious...

I've had a play, and the only way I've been able to change bot settings is to shut the server down before tweaking the server.con file.

On the fly tweaking so far seems unavailable.  I've tried through RCON as well with no joy.  Will keep looking though.

On the fly bot management a la CS would be great IMHO.

Ok.

And yes, on the fly adjustment would be a natural thing to expect imho. Can bots be kicked? I know Sn00ks had a go at it - anyone else?
