Not Happy as an officer

As i may seemed apparant yesterday, im not happy as an officer these days. I think we are ignoring major issues in the guild, and we dont seem interested in doing something about it. On top of that, im trying to reach some goals for myself and the guild, and i dont seem to be able to get too much help there either

Let me try to elaborate:

MC/BWL Attendance Issues:
I simply do not understand why we are not making this our top priority of things to fix. If we are lacking people in RG1, then lets get some others, lets create competition so people dont think that their spot is safe. In my opinion thats one of the reasons that RG2 has been highly successful in their raids, they simply have a lot more people to fill the 40 spots. Unless we want to impose loot restrictions in the MC raids, we should bump the guardians to 7 and then there will be some people not raiding some weeks, thats just the way it is.

Another thing is the Soldiers. Ok, so they cant raid as it is now.... so lets change it. We need to fill our spots in the raid, and i would rather fill the spots with soldiers than nobody at all. So someone gets some loot that we DE, who cares. Just limit their number of items pr. run to 1 or 2.

Sulforon Ingot:
I've been asking for a Sulforon Ingot for a long time now. When carried in the inventory its gonna create a quest which can tell us what items we need for the Sulforon Hammer (should it ever drop). One of my goals in the game is to do quests and thats why i would like to do this one, and have it in my inventory, but every time i've asked for 1, i've just been told no.

Exhalted Reputation in Thorium Brotherhood:
I've been grinding for this reputation for as long as i can remember. Its probably the hardest reputation to come by, since the materials for it is crazy. I've asked the guild for help many times, so we can get 1 armorsmith person to exhalted so we can craft Dark Iron Boots, but again people think im either joking or just dont think its a good idea for us to do it. Well, i want to get to exhalted in reputation, and was hoping that the officers would help me and the guild, but so far no reaction.

DKP Problems:
I really think that our current DKP system has a lot a flaws that we need to address. The obvious thing is that a lot of RG2 members dont think its fair that some RG2 members can get a lot of DKP from BWL and win all items in MC. It seems that im the only one who wants to change this somehow. I know its not an easy subject, but maybe if we took a good and long discussion about it, then we could try to come up with some ideas that would make it fair for the most of the guild. This discussion should also include the RG2 leaders, so you can see it from their point of view.

Not being listened to:
Ok, so i know im not always serious, but a lot of the times where i try to make some suggestions or come up with some drastic ideas, im just being told to go eat some hamburgers. So im not always in the construtive mood, but im trying my best to think of the guilds well-being, and put the guilds needs before my own. But my role as a officer seem on some points to be non-existant if im not being listened to.

This is not written to be a drama queen, but i really didnt felt any other way to get you to listen to some of the points i'm trying to make. There is a lot more than the things im writing above, but these are the main things for me and the guild that i feel is necessary to do something about.

I hope you will consider this from a constructive way of thinking, and will help me get back on track so i can work in the best way for the guild.

After i did the numbers i tend to partialy agree with you on this one, mainly, yes, we do need to get more guardians, even with the current number of ppl, when all make the minimal attendance we are still 5 odd short most the time. Add 1 to the rank for all classes (cept priest) would solve that.

I dont patacalry fancy letting soldiers raid for a number of reasons, and if attendance is higher we dont need them either.

I wouldnt mind the guild helping you to exhalted, but honestly the ammount of mats you need to get to exhalted dont weigh up to the recipie gained from all the mats, that said we got far more coreleather and cores then we will ever use at this time, and i wont mind you having some to forfill your ambition

Yes its fecked up, kreuz was working on a new one, but never heard from that again, again if attendance is sufficient we wont get any RG2 members in our raids, so its kinda pointless to get a set of rules for this. I am all for a discussion about this once things quite down a bit (us getting the attendance and so on sorted out)

Padding, thanks for taking time to post, you made some good points so I will try to give you my opinion on them.

Attendance *is* a priority, but there are different ways of doing it.  The last thing we want to do is recreate the problem we had before RG2's creation.  We are trying to fix attendance rapidly, we have recruited, but my own opinion is that to just add more Guardians to the mix is not the solution as it will solve a problem now to create a bigger long term problem.  I'm happy that we debate this further at any time.

Sufuron & TB Rep
The rest of the officers have discussed this tonight and we have no problem with you getting an ingot and the cores/core leathers to meet the rep.  Vargen will supply them next time you are on line.

DKP
I'm happy to discuss DKP at any time, suggest a date and time when you're around and we cna do an officer chat about it.  I can't guarantee we 'll all agree but we can have a healthy debate and hopefully reach some conclusions.

Hamburgers
All I can do is apologise, in particular for last night.  I was in a foul mood last night and the raid did not go anywhere near as smoothly as it should have done, I'm sorry if you felt I took it out on you.  The hamburger line was used in good humour with no ill intent.  If it offended I apologise and I will try to avoid using it in the future.  As for not listening, I always listen to what you say and I hope other officers do.  Your input is valued as is that from all officers and please do not feel it isn't.

To be an officer is to care if things are not as they should be.
And  lacking attendanse can make you feel depressed as we feel this is ouor responsebility  to fix that. So we all feel crappy lately., some more loud and voicing it more often. I am trying to not be to loudly anoyed or angry as this helps nothing but to souren the mood.

Rep:
As to you wanting exalted with  TB. I was aiming to be armoursmith  for the guild but bypassed an alt because it was human (Was annoyed as hell but held it in)/ tho in hindsigth I am glad since I dcan tell them to bugg the guild smith when they want stuff.

DKP problems:
These are not problems with the system but with the users . With a bit of goodwill from the users and consern for your fellow raider  it woorks wonderfull.
Any system wil be buggy if you are an asshole when using it.

Ingots:
I look at these as Elementium ore. Needed for Legandary but not untill we have the drop for it . And If we hand em out tom evry pallie we vont have enugh to get the weapon quick  when we need em.

As to not beeing listend to:
I listen , don't allvays reply . I like some lagg in  the system so that we are not eager beavers running round dooing stuff with ouor hedds chopped off. Fixing problems that vould have fixed itself  over time given a chanse. And to taking my time before dooing BIG changes or else the revelutoinary in me might avaken and I start shooting ppl ( loyers/ bankers and other usefull ppl).

The rep thing: And exactly why should exactly you be the one who should get exhalted rep with the Thorium Brotherhood when there's alot of other candidates for it?

The DKP issue: When I mentioned this before we even started RG2 it was rejected right away and I was told it wouldn't be a problem. You stated quite strongly that the DKP system should be the way it is at that time actually. It's not the DKP system that's flawed. It's the fact that we have 2 different raidgroups semi-joined together that creates these kind of problems. I think it's quite ok though since the raidgroups have actually gone fine so far without any need of change.

Listening and reading posts: I read pretty much every single post on the SoG forum. I don't really like replying often though unless it's something that really interests me.

And finally, it really took you this long to find out that being a officer sucks?

I still think padding has a good point w/ bumping guardians or getting them to commit to more raids, we can at least have a poll about what they want, and id prefer it fast since the last month we have been dicking arround w/ attendance and its not looking like it will improve much on its own right about now..... We just made a major change in the system.  Before we go off and do *another* change, let's see how this one pans out.  I'm all for getting the attendance up, but I do not support action where we have no record of the current system failing.  The current system being the one that Bastet just posted.
